Stopped into the Jersey GOAT on a rainy Wednesday at noon and had the place to myself. It's definitely a first class sports bar kind of place. Wide open space with lots of wide screens. My smiling, pleasant server, Dee, brought my menu and took my order. Started with an apple cider inspired brew 5%, which was incredible, and ordered up a couple of appetizers instead of an entree since every option looks so appealing. I love French onion soup, so I had to try GOATs Guinness Stout version and some crispy Brussel sprouts in a stone ground mustard aioli. The French onion soup was very different from what I had expected. It was very good with an underlying sweetness I couldn't identify. My server checked with the kitchen, which claims it's from the sherry that is added, giving it a very unique taste. The sprouts were very tasty. The stone ground mustard was not overpowering as I expected but very complementary to the veggies. Overall, it was a very good 1st experience here. Great attentive service and interesting ways to present regularly offered appetizers at reasonable prices make this a 5-star place in my book.

CHEFS KISS!! We went on here for Valentine’s Day. We arrived at about 11 o’clock in the morning that’s the time that they open. Me and my husband ordered a triple cheeseburger the Nashville, chicken sandwich, Bria nachos, Korean barbecue chicken and the ricotta board. EVERYTHING WAS LITERALLY AMAZING. All that food and it was only 80 bucks!!!!!!! They even have cute games to play!!! My server, Rebecca took such good care of us. She was so sweet the food down to the french fries was literally everything. This is my to go spot!

The food is fine, some of the menu items are better than others. DO NOT GET the espresso martini flight. It is so gross. We couldn’t get past a few sips. I’m an avid espresso martini lover but I gave this some grace and it’s still not digestible. We didn’t complain and our waitress didn’t bother asking after seeing our full drinks when we asked for the bill. Another server told me they make them in batches and it gets sent back all the time. Makes sense. Please save your money and do not get the flight.

So I'll start of by saying this is a pretty decent place. The food is pretty good, I'd even say above average for a bar. However we went there the other day and had a lackluster experience, we ordered a coconut old fashioned and were surprised to see them only give us half a glass when the week prior we got the same drink and it was full. We alerted the waitress and I never complain generally and showed her the picture of the drink from last week. She said what we had before was an over pour and for 14$ this is what a full drink is supposed to look like.. you be the judge! The more full drink is the one from last week!

I'm not a fan of "Free Flowing Kitchens" and that's why only 4 stars for service, but our 3 of 4 small plates and 2 sandwiches for two others in our party all came out within about a 4 minute span. Not sure why our GOAT Fries came out so much later when the two sandwiches that came included fries. I saw previous reviews that there weren't many fries in the container with sandwiches, but those who got them in our party thought it was a satisfactory amount. Everyone enjoyed all the dishes and we really liked the octopus. It was tender and had a little char. The wait staff should be informed of beer no longer available that is listed on the menu. I didn't get my second choice until we were half done eating, but we'll be back.

UPDATE 12\13\23 No longer a free flowing kitchen and the four in our party receive their food in a reasonable amount of time and all at the same time.

UPDATE 3\31\24 Easter; Restaurant was less than a quarter full at 7pm. Plenty of service staff. Our waitress was very nice. But... I'm not sure how they selected the hostess. Not a smile or any greeting or even a comment to follow her. We did follow her after she picked up menus. She dropped them on the table and continued without looking back to the service counter to chat with a couple of waitresses. She looked miserable whenever we saw her walk around the entire time. Not the best first impression when you walk into a restaurant.

Update 9\18\24 I asked for my fig jam burger to be cooked medium rare and it was. It's great to get what I ask for so that I don't need to send it back when it comes out well-done (which happens to frequently at other businesses).

- Well-cooked meat with a cumin kick.
- Yolks could’ve been a touch runnier.

- Not the best, but not the worst.

- Perfect portion sizes.
- Peach and blueberry blood orange were favorites.
- Refreshing, made with real fruit, and beautifully presented.

Espresso Martini Flight - Slide 7
- A coffee lover’s dream.
- Salted caramel with a salted rim was unique.
- Peanut butter cup and creamy Irish espresso were hits.

Lavender Lemonade - Slide 10
- Deliciously refreshing.
- Highly recommend.
- Cute presentation!

I’m so lucky to have been invited to dine here, and I brought a friend for an amazing meal! The staff was incredibly kind, and the restaurant itself was spacious and welcoming. The menu offers a great variety, and they seem to excel at everything!

I’ll definitely be back. With breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner on the menu, I can’t wait to try more. This is the perfect spot for a future birthday celebration with friends or family!

Great server. Great truffle fries. Kitchen was way out of kilter. I ordered a rare GOAT burger...I could have enjoyed it had it not been cooked to shoe leather consistency. Next, I tried French onion soup. The crouton was like rubber... microwaved, I'm guessing and it was extremely dark and oily. Strike 2. Ordered a peach mocktail. It was a mockery alright. No peach flavor whatsoever. That was strike 3. My friend ordered salmon, mashed with spinach. It was all mixed up in a bowl. It looked as if it was already eaten. Did they run out of plates and just grabbed what they had on hand? I had been there when they first opened over a year ago and was pleasantly surprised by the Cuban (and fries) I had received. My friend refused to eat her 'dish' that same day. I should have stayed away. I recommend the fries.

I will absolutely be a regular here. Great place to see friends or just chill and eat on a solo date. Large TVs for watching the game too
