Give it an 11/10! The fish bites is the best fish n chips I’ve ever had!
Not sure what they’re doing differently, but I didn’t get that bloated sickly feeling after eating them. The batter was so delicious, and the dipping sauce (tarter?) was the best I’ve ever had. Unfortunately it’s a 30 minute drive from me, but it’s much better than the seafood on the beach. Fish was tender. Incredible special value too. Actually some of the best food I’ve ever had. Unbelievable quality and flavor!

Food was good! The draft beer was kind of warm, though. Bottles were cold so I stuck with those. The Reuben egg rolls were tasty as long as you have the spicy sauce to go with it. Without it, they were a little bland. The paddy melt was GREAT and cooked perfectly. We’ll be back soon.

My husband and I have been coming here since we moved to St Petersburg. This is our relaxing and go to spot. We love the entire staff that work there. My favorite thing to order is the Reuben Egg Rolls. Recommend you go and see Damian and his lovely wife Lauren at the Bar. Top notch bartenders.

March 2025 update: After 130+ days closed for repair and renovations following Hurricane Helene, they’re back! Now going by the name “The Irish Pub on 4th”, this little bit of emerald joy on 4th Street North in the Gateway area of St Pete has fresh paint and paneling on the walls, updated (but still cozy!) decor on the walls, and upgraded food! The Scotch Eggs are bigger and better than ever, their gravy is ridiculously good, and the fish and chips taste as authentic as you’ll find at an Irish Pub in this town.
But best of all, many of the faces and personalities you knew if you hung out here before Helene are back and ready to welcome you back. Alexis and her team bring authentic neighborhood pub energy — friendly, snarky, real. No corporate restaurant chain hokey hospitality here — just cozy, sometimes raucous charm. I’m thrilled they’re back and I can’t wait to see them thrive as they settle back in and reestablish their brand in the area.

Small Irish pub. Extremely limited parking. The plaza next-door tends to take up half of the parking spots. Opened at 10 AM. I was there at 10 AM first customer. Ordered the traditional Irish fry up. Food was adequate. Service was poor at best. my server(most likely the manager) took my order, brought me my food and didn’t say a word to me until she saw I was ready to pay and leave. She also walked past me several times without saying a word, or even looking at me. Never asked me how my food was. Never asked me if I wanted a drink refill. Never even asked me if I wanted anything else. When the bill came, I noticed the price of the traditional Irish fry up that I had was higher than the menu price I saw on their website. The price on their website was $16. The price on my check was $17. When I pointed this out to her, she acted surprised and said it must be some kind of new thing and I find that hard to believe but at no time did she offer to adjust the price for me. I mean it’s only a $1 but it was the principal. And then I see another charge on my bill for $.68 cents for a consumer fee? I asked her what is a consumer fee and she replied well that’s the fee we charge customers that pay by Credit card. And I think to myself nowadays, everybody pays by credit card but OK. I didn’t like the fact that it was added to the bill and I wasn’t made aware of it before hand even though it may have been posted on the menu, but I didn’t look at it because I’d already looked at the menu online. Bottom line is the food was average. The parking is limited. The service was extremely poor so I can’t honestly, recommend this place. A tip was left as pictured, but it was less than 15%. Total gross bill was $19.50 and I guess I left her between 11 percent and 12%.

I am so happy this place reopened after the hurricanes! Loved this place before, loved it now. They make the best Irish coffee!! Luckily they had entertainment and they were fantastic! Food was even better than I remember it from before.

The authentic Irish pub experience. Miraculous recovery after the place was destroyed by Helene. These folks are THE BEST! Great food, great beer, great times!

Absolutely our favorite Irish restaurant in all of St Petersburg. The food and service is so amazing!! The Guinness stew, bangers and mash, fish and chips are just sublime. As of matter of fact all the food here is delicious!! They usually have a live Irish band most nights as well. Very cool atmosphere and people enjoy talking to each other. Definitely try some of the cocktails or authentic Irish beers.
