What an amazing bar! Great burgers and pizza paired with a super friendly staff, awesome neighborhood spot.

We came on a Thursday and sat at the bar, but if you are coming I'd make a reservation as it was absolutely packed around 6p.

The bartender was so friendly and recommended the Goat Cheese Dip which was unreal, you have to order this. We also split a personal crispy pizza and it was very good.

Their espresso martini was very good, and so was the old fashioned and godfather. We had such a great experience and can't wait to come back and get a burger.

I came here for dinner 2 nights in a row. I have live in Chicago from 1961 to 2006 and I never heard of this place and I don’t know why. I discovered this place by accident and I said I have to try it. Wonderful ambience and friendly staff. I sat at the bar the first night and was served by Nina. I ordered the thin crust personal pizza with sausage, pepperoni and onion and was I blown away. Crust was perfect, plenty of cheese and toppings and it tasted delicious. The 2nd night i sat at the bar as well but I can’t remember the female bartender’s name but she was fantastic and attentive. I read online that their Italian beef and sausage sandwich were excellent so I tried it. It was good, not great. It was over salty to my taste… and I like salt. That’s the only reason I ranked the food a 4 was because of my day 2 sandwich experience. Get the pizza and it will be a 5 star!!!

It's a staple of Chicago culture and I have been coming here since the late 1990's. I hadn't had the opportunity to come by in over 20 years, but walking it I felt like I was taken back in time.

The decor is still glorious and reminiscent of old Chicago and its gangland past.

Service is fast and friendly.

Burgers are great and the chicken Parm sandwich is not to be missed.

Loved this place! You can tell when you walked in, it’s about to be phenomenal. The service was great. They have tvs in case there’s an important game on. The food was the star. Chicken Parmesan, wings and thin crust sausage pizza. The portions are generous. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Great place with a lot of Chicago flair. Service was spotty but acceptably fast. Food is well portioned, affordable and delicious. Also the BIGGEST side salad I have ever received! (though the ribs sauce was bordering on too sweet). Great decor! Recommendable

Made a reservation at 9:30 but probably didn’t need to. We were quickly greeted and sat in a little booth. They had said it was much busier earlier, but we came at a great time. Their portions are huge. No question. Best salad I ever had, wish I could eat it all but had to save room for dinner. We had peppers and sausage for app as well as a small Greek salad. Ordered a personal size pizza & steak & frites. Had to take half of it home. The food is so tasty and you could tell was made with quality care. Will definitely be back when in the city again.

Exchequer Restaurant & Pub is a very big part of Chicago's history. The restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious. The waitress was one of the kindest most generous waitress I ever had. I told her I was doing a video on Al Capone and she showed me an escape door Al Capone used to use while here and needing to get away quickly. The restaurant is famous for Chicago deep dish pizza. I highly recommend eating here.

I visited Chicago last year and our conference sponsor treated us to dinner here. The pizza was delicious! I decided to eat here again during my visit this year. The pizza was good and the cheese is outstanding! Our server was very nice and patient. She was helpful in helping me decide which pizza style I wanted.
