I have been coming to Moody's for years. I can't believe it took me so long to post this review.
This a great place to hang with friends while getting tasty burgers and drinks.
My favorite, the blue burger, and hand cut fries never disappoints!
Oh, and their seasonal patio is cozy. They a small parking lot, but also plenty parking on Thorndale and Broadway Streets.

2 blue burgers with fries, plus onion Rings, and 1 beer will set you back $70 without tip. Prices on burgers are similar to Au Cheval. However, atmosphere and service is great.

Came to Moody’s on a Friday night and it was pretty dead. Maybe 5 other people total, music quiet. When we ordered we discovered many of the draft and wine options advertised on the menu were not available. The food was a bit pricy for the quality. I’m really not sure what they’re going for. Drinks too pricy for a dive vibe. Quality not high enough for an elevated experience. The patio looks nice for the summer months, pitchers are not priced bad (but they were out of many options on the menu). It has the feeling of a place about to close for good. Might give it another try in a couple of months, but would not recommend.

I'm thrilled to share my wonderful experience at Moody's Restaurant & Pub! For the past four years, I've been a loyal patron, enjoying their fantastic atmosphere and delectable menu. Isaac's exceptional service truly stands out – his attentiveness and warmth create a welcoming environment that keeps me coming back. It's surprising that despite my long-standing patronage, I've never taken the time to express my appreciation in a review. Moody's, with its great food and Isaac's excellent service, remains a top choice for me!

Was excited about this place I drive past it all the time, and while it looks cool inside and out, that’s the only highlight of this experience. Moodys food made me moody, aside from the fries and cheese curds, the “best burger in Chicago” is far from it, it wasn't disgusting but was it worth finishing-no, was it worth going there- no and is it worth coming back-it isn’t. Anyone that can cook decent can make a better burger at home, just not worth $90 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks. Also I asked the waiter if the mushrooms were fresh she asked the cook and he looked and said yes, but they were very obviously canned-eww.

The outdoor seating area is beautiful just watch out for the birds, the food was just ok, I can't remember the name of the blue drink I had only nine dollars but water would have been better, service was ok, they were not that busy on a Sunday afternoon but no one introduced themselves, I would go back for the atmosphere only make just get fries, you can't mess french fries up that much.

We went on a winter evening. It was pretty empty, which we don’t mind. But the music was too quiet, the food was just ok (perhaps undercooked?), the menu was inaccurate (they were out of a lot of items), and prices are a bit nonsensical for some things. The fire and tavern vibes unfortunately don’t carry the charm Moody’s used to have. At least the server was sweet and tried her best. We’ll try again in the summer for a pitcher in the beer garden and hope Moody’s returns to all its glory.

One of my favorite places in the city. I always get the Moody Bleu Burger - they have the best bleu cheese I've ever had - and it was great, as usual. Brought a new friend to introduce the place to, and it didn't disappoint us. The srimp are large and tender and fried to perfection. And warning - the fries are addictive.
