I already requested to be taken off their marketing list last year but they have started again, so here is what my experience with them was like when we hired them to sell a house during the late pandemic:
I reached out to the Quintin Group to help my family sell their property due to personal reasons making it difficult for them to manage it. We had tried to work with another company but that fell through after a long waiting period, and they had limited options at the time. I explained this to the agent, and was hopeful we would be taken care of during this process, however, the entire experience was disappointing in the end.
When they did try to set up appointments for potential buyers to see the property, it was all managed through their own online system. However, it meant that I had to manage all the appointments, and every single request would get sent to my phone via text, which is manageable on its own, although frustrating still. However, the part that made this system absolute hell to deal with was that if you did NOT respond to the text messages within a very short time frame, they would immediately start calling you for every single text they sent requesting appointments. I felt bombarded from 8 AM to 9 PM every single day with texts and phone calls for weeks, I had asked the agent we were working with to please limit the times available so I wasn't receiving requests for time slots that would already not work, but I didn't see any changes in the requests on my end.
Also, when originally signing with them, we were under the impression they would extensively consider offers for us but we were only told of one offer and not even given an opportunity to wait for more because they were pushing us to sign as if this was the best we would ever get. Actually, I remember being told that there were some offers that were lower, but I can't even say what they were because we were never even shown them. Regardless of the situation about what would or wouldn't be a good offer, I thought as clients, we would still be told or shown the offers - but it seems to me they were more interested in pushing this one deal from an investor since the first few weeks.
What's even more ironic is that the "buyer" who we ended up selling the property too seemed to be working for another real estate agency, and in the fees portion of the selling agreement, it looked to me like the Quintin Group had actually given a portion of the proceeds THEY took from our final amount actually was given to the same real estate agency that it seemed the buyer was working under. Whether or not it's legally allowed for them to split the fees wherever they'd like, it does not feel great as the client to see that our agents had set aside funds that they got from selling a property for us get PAID TO THE BUYER/buyer's company/employer.
Not to mention, when we arrived to a meeting office to close, our agent and not a single representative for the Quintin Group were there and they did NOT even inform us they would not be there after we were under the impression they would be - but I'm so glad the buyer was told at least and NOT US, the clients they were actually working for.
So safe to say, that left not the best impression. After all of that, we were tired with the whole process and wanted to just wash our hands of them after already having to manage a difficult situation. To add a final touch, our agent didn't even bother to reach out to us after closing to make sure we were set, ask if we needed anything, or give even a small thank you for working with us.
But thank you for continuing to add me back into your marketing list and not letting me forget about any of this, I'm so glad you guys work tirelessly to keep reminding people you exist instead of having any decency to leave me alone. I was exhausted with the entire process and honestly just wanted to move on and not even think about this anymore BECAUSE of how miserably I felt we were treated. I hope I can do that now, thanks! (:
