Service is excellent. Our server is personable and kept us engaged. The place is in the middle of the main square. The ambiance is up there. And the food! Of course! I had the Irish Benny and it reminds me of the corned beef at home. It is a must try!

I was looking forward to trying The Egg Cafe and Eatery, but unfortunately, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and financially. While the food was adequate, the pricing and hidden fees make it clear that profit margin comes at the customer’s expense.

One major issue is the 4% fee for using a credit card. This charge is barely mentioned, hidden in tiny font on the menu, and significantly higher than the roughly 2% banks charge businesses. If they’re going to pass the cost onto customers, they should at least be upfront about it.

Then there’s the outrageous price for a simple drink. $3.50 for a glass of tea is already excessive, but to be told they ā€œran outā€ of unsweetened tea and that water was the only alternative? That’s just poor management and bad service.

In the end, the meal itself was fine—nothing special, nothing worth returning for, especially with these kinds of policies. There are plenty of other places that offer decent food without the sneaky fees and overpriced drinks. Won’t be back.

The bayou cakes arrived without the grit cake, but the taste was fantastic, and I finished the whole plate! The cream sauce was delicious. However, the Bradley's grit skillet was not to our liking. While others might enjoy it, the smoked flavor was overpowering for us, and we won't be ordering it again.

The service was fantastic, and we discussed bringing our friends with us next time.

Will we be back? Probably. There are a few menu items I'm interested in trying.

No complaints what so ever, service was great. The food was terrific, I ordered the sketer. A combination of hashbrowns, country fried steak, and sausage gravy with a side of alvacado. There was nothing wrong with the atmosphere. Everything was clean, just had seen alot of other places with a better look than that. Definitely would be a good choice on a new place to eat.

The food was good. Price was good too. I think this restaurant has so much potential in terms of atmosphere, but then again, Tallahassee is like that. Plates presentation is okay too, could be nicer. Overall, I would go back and recommend.

Do not go here. I went inside and ordered 2 to go orders of eggs benedict, $34 for both plus automatic gratuity for a to go order totaling $37.19. Fine, I’m hungry and I have to be on the road soon. I don’t mind paying for a good breakfast for us before our trip. Opened the container as soon as I got in my car, first off there’s barely any potatoes in one of the orders. For $37.19 really The ham is thin and not even large enough to cover two English muffins. They just slopped this order together.
The worst part was that the eggs were hard boiled. It was hard boiled old eggs on an eggs benedict for BOTH of my to go containers. One of the eggs still had raw egg whites underneath. Mind you I immediately opened it right after receiving my order and sat in my car. Terrible. Awful. It was like they didn’t even want me to order 2 orders. When I asked for 2 orders to go they initially asked if I was sure I wanted 2 orders because ā€œIt would take a while to make 2 orders, it’ll take 15-20 minsā€. Which I was ok with, I waited patiently for my food only to be disappointed as soon as I got in my car and opened it. Terribly put together. Awful service questioning me if I really want 2 orders because it’ll take too long. Do not go here. They don’t want your business or to serve you. I went in for a refund and returned the food. Drive to the other egg cafe that’s 10 mins away. Go to the other egg cafe on Austin Davis Ave. They are WAY BETTER. Worth the price when done right.
