Did a Bob Ross Painting fundraising class there for members only. Great instructor! Food & non-alcoholic drinks provided. Very fun event. Everyone left with a painted masterpiece

I went to an outreach event that was smooth and well planned. WOSU offered balloon artist, temporary tattoos, crafts and games for kids, and life size cartoons of our favorite books! Great Event. We parked in a garage and walked just a short bit to enjoy the fun!

I briefly visited the new location of WOSU Public Media [at 1800 N. Pearl St.] on 4-20-2022. I have been "a friend of" WOSU for many years; in addition, I have been friends with several of their "on-air personalities" over the years. I had learned about their new location several months ago but had never before actually seen it because I am so rarely in the University District these days.

Another reason why I had wanted to visit WOSU's new location is because I had recently registered to attend a "Democracy In Action" event, sponsored by League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus, that will be held 5-12-2022 at WOSU's new location.

During that two-hour-long event, an award will be given "to an individual and/or organization who has made outstanding contributions to the civic life of Central Ohio." In addition to the award, there will be a reception, a keynote speaker, and a panel discussion.

Even though I had worked for 21 years within one block of WOSU's new location [at the former Long's Book Store at 1836 N. High St.], I decided to research how to walk to 1800 N. Pearl St. most efficiently on 5-12-2022. I had assumed that I would be able to walk one block south on N. Pearl St. from E. 15th Ave. but learned that N. Pearl St. is not open at present because of construction in that area.

Because the sidewalks on all four sides of the block immediately west of WOSU's new location are currently closed, the only way to walk to WOSU's new location from the corner of E. 15th Ave. and N. Pearl St. is to cross to the west side of N. High St., walk south one block on the west side of N. High St., cross N. High St. at 14th Ave., walk one block east on E. 14th Ave. [immediately south of where the former Student Book Exchange had been located], and then finally arrive, via this very circuitous route, at WOSU's new location at the northeast corner of E. 14th Ave. and N. Pearl St.

Now that I understand this very complicated route, I will be able to travel to WOSU's new location more efficiently on 5-12-2022.

I assume that the construction will finally end and that it will eventually be possible to use N. Pearl St. itself to walk directly to WOSU's new location from the north.

Crazy the amount of times I’ve heard adora namigadde mess up reading the news/ little commentary breaks. Sometimes the text is even shorter than her introducing herself at the beginning and then again at the ending of what she is saying. If I messed up my job as much I would lose it.
