Whetstone library has been the staple of my young adulthood. When the time to love reading returns after college, this place is the best place to go. All the books I need are there, and when they are not, it is easy to get a hold on a book. I ran into a fellow reader who encouraged me to try a book again, and it was a pivotal move in my continuation of that book. The library has been a source of WiFi and air conditioning when the power was out in Columbus a few years ago, it is a bathroom available when you are playing tennis on the whetstone tennis courts, it is a place where kids sing as a story time is being sung, it’s a place where families gather. I am so thankful this is my library!

Great library that is very accessible. Plenty of accesible parking spaces, and curbside pickup spaces that have signs with call and text options. Entrance doors are powered and wide. The space is quiet and well lit, with wide walkways in between aisles. All computers are equipped with screen reading software. Some of the meeting rooms have induction loop systems for those with hearing aids. They have a wide variety of books in different formats such as audiobooks and large print. They are currently offering a weekly program called "Sensory Storytime" for kids with sensory needs. Today when I went in, they were handing out free glasses to use to safely view the upcoming solar eclipse. Lots of cool stuff happening here. I always enjoy checking out their new and featured book displays and frequently find great reads that I otherwise would have missed. All of the staff are kind and attentive, and are always happy to answer any questions or to assist library-goers in whatever they may need.

I love the library. It’s a great place to expand my education through reading, socialize with my friends (quietly), and play games or do work on the computer. I am a teen, so I get to be in the teens only section. My complaints though are something MANY people have been talking about. For one, I don’t think it’s fair to take up half the library, and then give the older people not a singular comfortable place to sit. Most of the seats are at computers, which not everyone even comes for. And usually what they get for chargers are those dumb little charging stations. Now my other complaint is that we’re having these extremely loud EIGHT YEAR OLDS come into the teen area for some stupid improv club on Wednesdays. It’s a LIBRARY. I’m all for breaking tradition but being quiet in a library has been a thing since the first one was created thousands of years ago. Why can’t the DnD club or whatever and the improv club go do it in the rec-center? They have plenty of rooms in there! I shouldn’t have to leave the teen area to get any work done. The biggest problem with this though, is that these issues are so fixable and no one is doing anything!!! Bring back quiet libraries please….😓😓

I love this branch of The Columbus Metropolitan Library. The library system is fantastic and I can get what I need and want so close to home. I recently reserved the study room and found it to be a helpful feature at this location. Staff are always helpful and the location is tidy and well lit.

Park of Roses Library is a wonderful place to visit. All the people are very friendly and helpful. I came in when they were having an interactive story time for younger kids. That was fun to see and hear. And an added plus is the grounds of the park also. It was a beautiful day to enjoy both.

Nice library, but it’s become a common theme for Columbus Library to dedicate half the building for teenagers only. Just a couple years ago it was accessible for adults. Now it’s collecting dust during school hours.
