Overall I have a nice stay. The rooms were clean and modern, free parking, food was ok (specially happy hour). I am only giving 4 stars because of service. The morning staff was spectacular. Everyone from the restaurant. the housekeeping supervisor and the General Manager represented the Marriott brand extremely well and embodied the values and warm of the Siouxland. The afternoon staff needs customer service training. How to talk to people basic training is needed. I can’t list one positive interaction with ANY of the afternoon/evening staff. It got to the point that I dreaded any request and waited until the morning for any questions or request.

This hotel was great. The location is good, the rooms are clean, the staff was very nice. The pool is amazing. They keep it warm , even when it's -6 outside. I normally would have ranked this 5/5. The problem comes in when I checked to make sure the pool opened at 6 am, which it does. I woke up early to do some laps before leaving for a long drive, the pool was locked. I waited until 6:10 and tried again still locked. Went to the front desk and was told that it should be open in 5 minutes, they must be cleaning it. Still locked. They said 630, still locked. So I sat down ate breakfast... 7, still locked. A new lady was at the front desk and grabbed the master key and let me in at about 7:05. No one was in there, no maintenance team or anything. The door was just locked. Put me about an hour behind but its important to get some blood flow before you go on long drives.

Last year, on this same day, we were delighted to arrive at this hotel and find a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the lounge, along with hot cocoa for guests to enjoy. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the holiday season feel truly special. However, this year, we were surprised to find no decorations at all, except for a garland at the front desk. It felt like the festive spirit was missing from the hotel.||We understand that things change, but it’s disappointing to see the hotel lacking the warm and inviting holiday atmosphere that made it stand out last year. The Christmas tree, which appeared to be personally decorated by a staff member, added such a lovely and personal touch to our stay.||That being said, we do want to commend the staff for being kind and helpful throughout our visit. We sincerely hope that in the future, the hotel will bring back the holiday magic to make guests feel truly at home during the Christmas season.

Our room's peephole was gone and stuffed in with paper towels. There was a plastic bag over the fire alarm and a rolled up towel by the door. Dark marks on the window treatments and carpets. No one was watching the front door. Someone jiggled the door in the middle of the night. Would've slept in the car but the parking lot is even creepier. -100 out of 10. Would not recommend.

I recently visited the hotel bar and patio, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was perfect, with comfy seating and lovely decor. The bar had a great selection of cocktails made by skilled bartenders. The patio was a highlight, offering a peaceful and beautiful place to relax. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Whether you want a quiet evening or a fun night out, this spot has it all. Highly recommend!

Was a wonderful experience. Night manager / auditor was extremely friendly and patient with every customer and phone call. Impressive! Clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows|Within walking distance to Sioux City night life. The brewery across the street, Marto, is a flip of the coin if it will be open or not, but Majors Sports Bar and many others are close with great service.

The room and hotel were amazing compared to what I’m used to (super 8 on Gordon). The front desk was kind and helpful. Everything was clean and spacious. Only issue I had which gave the four star service was the woman at Starbucks was rude about what they have and did have time to make a drink for me because they closed in 8 minutes. I didn’t know they closed that early I thought they were open all day. Other than that I’d definitely come back!

Positive: Clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. Very close to part of the mall (back of Home Depot). Free breakfast was testy and wide variety compared with other free breakfasts. Good size fitness room. Negative: Small room.?no place to put luggage except on the floor. Small TV with no premium channels.

First call in early afternoon to check on availability I spoke to this amazing person who really seemed to enjoy her job. Actually I was taken back! This never happens that often. This hotel is clean has lovely outside areas to enjoy the evening with a bistro. All you need after an 11 hour drive. So when we checked in we were greeted by another lovely person cute as can be. I said I think I spoke to you a couple hours ago. She said yes you did. Her name is Aliyah ! Marriott needs to make her the senior trainer for front desk management. She made us feel so special. Also the restaurant across the street is very good. We will be back next year on our annual trip to Tetons

Courtyard by Marriott downtown convention center Sioux city iowa review. Upon checkout I requested and received a hardcopy of my bill. Minutes later I received an email of my bill indicating the same total for a two night stay as stated on my requested hard copy. However several minutes later I checked my bank account expecting to see the same charge total as stated on my hardcopy and the emailed copy. Instead I found an additional charge for incidentals I did not authorize. |I immediately called the front desk and was told the additional incidental fee I did not authorize will usually be refunded to me in a few days depending on what the hotel decides. He also stated that he has nothing to do with billing and connected me to the vm of the general manager. I left a message. Still waiting for a call back.|This is unacceptable! |At checkout I specifically ask when handed my hard copy bill "Is this my total balance that will be charged to my cc.?" She replied yes.|No entity may charge my cc for anything unless I approve the charge.|I had to contact my bank show them a copy of my bill that indicated the discrepancy between the total on the bill and what Marriott charged my account.|I will be happy to pay the balance due indicated on my bill.|I will not pay for additional charge(s) that I was never told about and that I did not authorize.

My daughter and I stayed this past weekend, this place was beautiful. The hotel was clean, everything looks new. Pool and gym were nice, great food, the on sight convience store was high, but yard what I expected. Great location, right at lower 4th, we had a great time jumping from bar to bar. Parking was perfect on the street, parking lot or parking garage. Patio with fire was amazing place to sit and visit. Thank you for a great experience!
