Local bakery/cafe. We arrived around 9 and they were sold out of several of the items we wanted. We ordered breakfast pockets, burritos, and cinnamon roll. The reindeer sausage was good but the burritos took a long time to come out and were cold in the middle. Cinnamon roll would have been better warm.

Super cool coffee shop with tons of food options as well. I got one of the small pizzas with the reindeer sausage on it I believe. It was also cool how they had chess and checkers here to pass the time and fellowship. I crushed my opponent by the way. If I lived in this area, Alaska Coffee Roasting Company would be a personal regular stop.

Came in on a rainy day, they were busy but the wait was reasonable plus they have plenty of seats! Got a reindeer pocket, spinach tomato and cheese frittata (forgot to take a pic), and a lavender blackberry scone. Also got an oat milk latte and husband got a seasonal drink. We are visiting Fairbanks for the first time, would recommend for anyone unsure of where to go for a coffee/breakfast spot. This place also has plenty of amazing looking desserts that we didn’t get to try. This place also makes personal pizzas that we saw someone other customers get so nice options all around

The food and coffee are good. You can go there for savory or sweet with your coffee. Shame on me that I did not have a chance to try their pizza. I love that 8-Oz size of cappuccino is offered. Friendly service.

Loved the coffee, ambience, and the service! Kudos to the team! This place is a must visit if you are in Fairbanks.

Coffee: large variety of selection. We laughed about not being able to understand the different types of coffee mentioned on the list but the taste made up for it!

Ambience: it is quiet, peaceful. There are some board games if you want to spend some quality time. They provide WiFi (although it didn’t work when I tried)

Service: excellent. They answered our questions, were patient, and overall good experience.

Lots of unique food choices however with so many options the ones we chose (rain deer pocket, scone, cinnamon rolls) non were very flavorful. The barista had to remake my coffee twice first time because she misunderstood me and the second time was actually pretty funny. I ordered a sugar free vanilla breve and she said oh I’m sorry we don’t have sugar free breve. I just looked at her and I was at a loss for words and just giggled to myself. I had to explain it to her three times before she understood what I wanted… It was really kinda funny.

Alaska Coffee Roasting Company has been a Fairbanks staple since I can remember. Their on-site wood-fired pizzas, baked goods, premade items, and hot case foods are delicious and, with such a large variety, they accommodate many different tastes and dietary needs. The coffee is some of the best in the state and the beans they source are extraordinary. The coffee here is an incredible quality and the effort put into sourcing ethically harvested and thoughtfully curated beans sets them apart. Coffee is roasted on-site. They sell bags of whole and ground beans, grind beans upon request, and rotate through their variety so locals or repeat customers can try different roasts and regional flavors over time.

They are fairly consistent with coffee quality and shot pulls, but syrup portioning, cappuccino dryness, and teas can be more inconsistent. The prices have always felt a little outrageous for a café, but for fresh, house made dishes, unique rotating flavor combinations in baked goods, and a variety of homemade coffee syrups, amongst other qualities that only they seem to nail, it is justifiable. Drinks overall have comparable prices to other places in town.
