The worst thing about Alaska Robotics is that it didn’t exist when I was growing up here. Love the new (to me) location, too. And genuinely as good a collection of horror comics as I’ve found in any other shop.

A great selection needs to be had, and that the staff is really friendly. Help me find two games I was referred to overseas which they had and help me understand another game. Great selection of anime, comics, and games.

We stopped in a few board game stores around Juneau and Ketchikan, and the Alaska Robotics Gallery — though small — was easily our favorite. You’re greeted by eclectic music (J-Pop, I think we only heard J-Pop), and are surrounded by graphic novels and art poking fun at local politics and problems, and the center aisle is piled high with a variety of board games: some mainstream, some so obscure that even my husband had to look them up. The shop attendant was friendly and helpful.
