The correct location is 2nd and state. Google map is incorrect. The 4 runner we got has dusty inside but other than that everything is fine. We rented the car on 7/20/2024.

We rented a Toyota 4Runner to drive into the Yukon while visiting Skagway on a cruise. The attendant was courteous and professional and it took 5 minutes from the time we arrived until the time we departed in our vehicle. The vehicle was clean and well maintained. We made our reservation online several weeks prior.

We did a DIY Jeep Tour during a stop on the Norwegian Encore in Skagway. Drove up into the Yukon to Emerald Lake. The rental agency provided an iPad with an interactive travel guide that was very helpful.

Location in google Map's is wrong. It is at the cross between 2nd Ave and State Street. This Avis center is having pretty new jeeps and location is pretty close to cruise terminals. Staff is so helpful. Renting a car is best option to enjoy white pass mountain route to Yukon.

We rented here a few years ago and once again last month when we were in Skagway port. I made the reservation a week before our trip and lucked out that they had an SU? that can accommodate our family of 7. It is an easy walk fro our port to the rental place. The small office is the same for DIY Jeep Tours Company. The office opens at 8 am. Car rentals in Alaskan ports are expensive but it is the best, economical, and flexible way to explore the area. We drove to Canada and visited Caribou Crossing Trader Post, Emerald Lake, and Carcross Desert. The staff is very nice and it was easy to check out and return the car.

Very disappointed. We had reserved two vehicles and arrived to find a note in the window that we needed to call them. Multiple calls and texts were made, with ZERO response. Our well planned tripped to the Yukon was ruined by their lack of service. I would recommend anywhere else for your rental car needs in Skagway. Don't let them ruin your port day like they did ours.

Honest, reliable and great cars. We rented a Toyota Sienna that had only a few thousand miles on it and drove to Carcross, Emerald Lake, and back, with time to spare before getting back on the cruise. If you have more than 2 people, it's way cheaper to rent a car than take the train. Plus with the car we were able to get out and take pictures wherever we wanted. Rental guy was very professional. No complaints at all.
