Not open to public and not stated. Closed

Little guard at the gate thinks he’s protecting Fort Knox. Asks me for my ID, gives it to a second little soldier who holds on to it while I turn around and leave the militarized zone.

This is a school not a military base. There isn’t even a runway here. I think Annapolis or Colorado State would be much better alternatives for a visit.

The Academy is incredible. Some of the best backdrop sceneries in the world! So much history and prestige here. Every building was incredible. So well done. Absolutely worth visiting! The visitors center is very informative and the store has everything you should want in any size!

It is a great place to learn about the history of the Air Force and the Academy. The building was easy to enter for the young and the elderly, and also for wheelchairs. You can get a great view of the mountains and the area close to Colorado Springs. There is a beautiful showcase with a Bible scroll from the Holocaust as well as information about a 3D cast of Jesus. Also, memorabilia, you can purchase to remember you visit.

I was shopping at BX first and did not realize there was a visitor center shop!!! Wow! Way more & amazing stock w/much more variety. I was able to find something for my whole family! A little pricey on high quality name brand items but they do offer 20% military discount! Much more selection on souvenirs like key chains & water bottles etc. Highly recommended stopping in and seeing the short Cadet video. Staff is all so helpful & friendly.

We surprised our daughter going here on a trip out west. She has been eyeing it as a college in many years time. It's a pretty neat place, the campus, from what we can see has the usual college adornments but with uniforms and planes--pretty cool! We were allowed to see the church cathedral as well. They have a short movie that shows the 1st year of life at the academy which I highly recommend.

A wonderful place and round tour spot. Beautiful architecture. The chapel is closed for renovations till spring 2026. If you don’t have an American drivers license you must enter through the South Gate, where you have to show your passport.

The location is incredible, I love the view! The visitor center has some displays, a 20 min movie, and clothes you can buy. The Cadet Chapel is a 1/3 mile down a trail but it is closed for construction. The sign says they anticipate it will be completed in 2026

First... GO ARMY!!! Okay, now that that's out of the way. The visitor center is a very nice tribute to the Air Force Academy. There is a short film you can watch about the academy, as well as exhibits and a gift shop.
