don’t waste your time nor money with them i do not recommend. My husband and I had a rough experience since day 1. The first day moving into our apartment as we we were cleaning the stove wasn’t grounded so my husband and sister in law both got shocked. the house wasn’t the cleanest as there was orange stuff dripping down the walls. as well as we found foil under the bathroom sink with drugs in it THE DAY WE GOT THE KEYS. the front door was letting in cold air. we made a maintenance request and of course they decided to just throw in a little piece of wood in which did not fix the issue, cold air was still coming through the door. then spring rolls around and the top screen on the screen door would fall and not stay up nor would the screen door latch. again, they came out and nothing was done. my 18 month old son got his fingers smashed from the top screen falling. still nothing done except a 2 day temporary fix. carry on a little longer my closet racks fell down from them not being on a stud. also took them a year and a half to hang the laundry room doors. the flooring in our house was also lifting up completely throughout. the woman who did 1 singular inspection in 2 years walked in asked if we had any questions and left didn’t even walk through the home. very very unpleasant experience. we had a good experience with a past maintenance man and that’s the only one we had a good experience with. do not waste your time nor money with this company.

Had an issue with water leaking in the basement and the shower piping in our down stairs bathroom. Grant came in ad assessed the situation very professionally and was very speedy at getting us an answer on how long it would take to fix. He did a great job with following the timelines he gave us and was very clear on what he was doing and how he was going to fix the issue's at hand. Grant was also very professional and talked to us like we were human and made everything very easy to understand as well. Would definitely recommend Grant as a contractor if it were my choice! Very knowledgeable and skilled at the tasks he performs!

Ian Huffington has shown us great compassion, concern & professionalism every time he has come to repair an issue at our house. He always checks back with us to ensure that the repairs are maintaining. He was especially concerned and a blessing when we were without a refrigerator for almost three weeks while awaiting a part. The mini fridge saved my diabetic medication! Thank you Ian & Berkshire Hathaway.

I was waiting to put my review up until everything was settled. I highly recommend not going with Berkshire when looking for a Rental. I moved into my apartment September of 2023 and had a couple issues with maintenance walking into my home without permission. Mind you I’m a single mom of a baby girl so this spooked me a little. First incident I was in bed and heard a knock at my door. By the time I could get up and to the door the maintenance man was already in my living room. When I asked my property manager about it she said that I signed a permission to enter to which I responded with a picture of my pre-move in inspection where I specifically marked that they did not have permission to enter. The second incident was when they came to fix my furnace which wasn’t in my apartment but between mine and my neighbors, I came home to a maintenance man in my bathroom. He left my toilet clogged by the way. I also had decided to get a male roommate around June or July of this year and within a couple weeks of him being on the lease things he had become very abusive. When I would reach out to my property manager she would give me the run around and I would get different information everytime I called or texted. I had got to the point where I was ready to just leave with my daughter and let him have the apartment and they were refusing to take my name off the lease because they never made him turn in check stubs. I ended up getting a restraining order which initially stated I would be taking full possession of the lease and he had to leave. I turned in the paperwork and they charged me $65 to change the locks which I didn’t request for them to do, they said it was protocol. I had missed the court date because I was staying elsewhere until papers were served and never got notified I had just gotten the email that it was approved. My former roommate took the dismissal paper work to the office and they gave him new keys after charging me $65 to change the locks. He should have been removed from the lease immediately but wasn’t. So I requested another court date and it was approved once again. This time I asked the judge for my name to be removed from the lease. I had gotten a letter from CODA as well stating that they had to take me off the lease due to domestic violence. After this they harassed me about turning in my keys and how I only had 7 days to get the remainder of my things. They were just very insensitive and rude. The ladies in the office are so unprofessional and the way they manage their properties is a joke. I had previously made a Google review as this was all going on and they told me if I didn’t take it down they wouldn’t take my name off the lease lol. You also see so many positive reviews for Grant because he asks for them😂 And please don’t say this isn’t true because I have receipts for everything. Save your money and your sanity!!

Grant came to my home to do some important repairs. I am very impressed and happy with the work he did. He was very thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. He was always on time and checked back to make sure everything was still up to par. My wife and I have been renting from Berkshire for 14 years. Grant knows his profession and is one of the best.
