06/06/2024 - Revisited the Bexley Public Library to celebrate and support their Centennial Author Series in a conversation among one of my new favorite authors (Abdurraqib) and new favorite poets (Choi). Awesome event with a discussion among the writers, readings of their work, and Q&A. Great sound, lighting, comfortable seating, and for this event it was a full house and record for the library’s social media purposes. Thank you for BPL for a historic evening and thank you Mr.Beckman for the poster.

Beautiful library that resembles a mansion and or castle from the exterior. The interior, a library world of books awaits. Nice and organized shelves. The children section is true to its name. There are some art works displayed throughout the library. Books for all occasions. Nice, quiet, and comfortable reading sections. Parking lot available as well as timed parking nearby. Today was my first time attending one of their author series (Smile For We. Seeing Black Men In A Different Light by the gifted Damon Mosley) which was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This place is awesome. The building has a rustic charm of an old study yet the interior is classic with modern twists. There are a lot of different media sources and even board games. The librarians do an amazing job finding the things you are searching for and are always willing to help.

Best library in central Ohio. I live in Westerville but make the trip here, as I love the ambience of the old beautiful architecture, the quiet areas, and the great selection of books, cds, and DVD's. The staff here is very helpful and friendly as well.

I almost don’t want to share this rare gem! But, in light of the recent “improved” public libraries, I felt I had to point to a library that gets it.

The building is substantial and lovely. That front door!! Inside it feels cozy and welcoming; there are plenty of big chairs scattered around. Lots of stacks of books on the main floor. There’s a great selection of movies too, for those tired of scrolling through Netflix. Even the bathrooms are lovely!

They’ve got games and other non traditional items to check out. There are several areas where one can sit to study peacefully. Downstairs is the technology area with computers, a recording “studio” and a computer with software for photos among other offerings.

This just shows that public entities can modernize without sacrificing their purpose. Sure, the parking lot is small, but there’s on free street parking available. I hope this place will keep its charm and not become a clone of the other local libraries.

I love this place! The staff is always nice, and helpful. My kiddos love the childrens area down below. They even have a cute little pet tadpole named wiggles. The kids love watching him grow and move about.
