Wonderful happy hour experience in the Travestere neighbourhood in Rome. The whole street features bars that can seem some what divey but are amazing. Service was great, $5 Aperol spritz, $6.50 negroni during happy hour (5pm to 10pm) and it came with snacks!

Came here on 3 occasions during our 1 week stay. Staff is very friendly and drinks are well prepared. Overall feeling of coziness and relaxation. The convenient prices are also worth mentioning.

The best bar in Trastevere! It's the cheapest place we could find during our whole week stay in Trastevere yet the quality of cocktails remains the best as well. They do happy hour until 10pm and it's absolutely worth it. All the other restaurants and bars' cocktails cost 1.5 times more than Public Bar's regular price.
And their tagliere aperitivo con salumi e formage was so incredible that I could drink wine forever ? and it's half the price of the most of other restaurants offer around here.
Our service staff was extra nice. Not too pushy but very kind and helpful. She gave us her top 3 recommendations of their cocktails and those were all fabulous.
5/5 stars on everything.
I can't tell things for Italians as I'm a foreign tourist but I can confidently say to my fellow tourists that this is the place to go if you are wondering where to drink at.

PS. I freaking love Roma ❤️

We stopped here for a drink before having lunch and also to shelter from the rain. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and there was good italian music playing. The lady at the bar was really nice and bubbly.

So glad we stumbled upon this place after leaving another nearby bar that couldn’t care less if we were there or not! Initially confusing to find as the name on google doesn’t appear to be in use anymore but the location is correct and ‘Public’ is written on the windows.
Stopped in for a drink but ended up staying for the excellent value Aperitivo (€10) and further drinks and it meant we didn’t need to eat more dinner later.
Really friendly service and when they asked us to change tables after we’d been there for a couple of hours to accommodate a larger group, they were very polite about it. A lovely place in an area of Rome that is fun but can feel a bit impersonal.
