Steer clear of Blue Carrot Creative. Highly unprofessional and deceitful tactics. I was promised a new custom website that would be designed and ready to review within 7 days, and then would be ready to go live immediately, with just some minor tweaking. I was offered a discount and promised a new website that would be up and running very quickly. I was hesitant, but I was hounded for several days, being begged to pay a deposit so that they could get started quickly.
Once I paid an initial deposit, I was ghosted. The initial 7-day period came and went in silence. About another week passed before I called and asked the status. They apologized and told me that they were slammed with so many other customers, that they did not have time to get to my project. Several more days passed, and still nothing for me to review. I called again and they promised to have something by the end of that day. Another day or 2 passed and they promised to have me something the next morning. That next morning, I called again, and they finally sent me a link to a website that appeared to be a pre-made template.
I have built websites before and I know what premade templates look like.
The website they sent me for review had no reference to my business whatsoever, other than my business name, a cartoonish alternate logo, and my email and phone number. All of the pictures on the site were net pics of random cabinetry, and even a picture of some random man that was supposed to represent me. Clearly this appeared to be a pre made website template that they just slapped my business name on, and tried to pass it off as 3-4 weeks of "custom" work.
On day one, I sent them a link to my current website that had several pictures of my work from the last 19 years, a picture of myself, my logo, etc. I even sent them several folders full of pictures from my current website. They could have and should have pulled ALL of that information, examples of my work, etc. if they were building me a custom website from scratch. Some of the websites text boxes even had a foreign language inside of them, just as you would see in a pre-made template.
Several weeks had passed from the initial deposit that I paid until they sent me a link to a website that I was very unhappy with. I immediately asked them for a complete refund of my deposit so that I could go in another direction, because it was clear that Blue Carrot Creative had very little, if any experience at all, in creating me a website better than I already had.
They refused to refund my deposit and further begged me for another chance to continue working on and improving the website, more to my liking. They admitted that they fell way short of their promises and begged for a second chance. They put me in a position of having to write off the initial $965 as a total loss, or try to see if they could come up with a better website than I already had, even though I no longer needed it.
For weeks, they continued to change their website to look exactly like my current website, hoping I would approve. After many weeks they have still not produced a website that I am happy with, as they were supposed to create something better than what I already have, not mimic it.
I have not given them final approval for anything at all, but now they are trying to invoice me for a balance. On several occasions, while communicating over the phone, I was insulted, subject to foul language, called a liar, and had my military service and veteran status demeaned via email, all for not approving of their efforts thus far.
I recommend steering clear of Blue Carrot Creative.
Seriously, accomplished website creators and marketing experts would likely have more than one google review in 7 years. Sadly, I found out too late.

I would give Blue Carrot Creative twelve stars if I could! Barrett and his team were responsive and patient during the entire process of creating our new website. Their design team has an excellent grasp of web design and marketing and was extremely helpful in crafting our messaging content. I strongly recommend them to anyone lucky enough to partner with them.
