I’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with Design Stallion. From the beginning, they were more focused on upselling additional services than delivering on the products I originally paid for. Every interaction seemed like another attempt to get more money out of me, yet the quality of their work is completely unacceptable.

Despite numerous promises, they failed to meet any reasonable standard. The project has been riddled with constant excuses: first, two developers quit; then my project manager fell ill and ended up in the hospital; after that, my new manager was fired shortly after being assigned to me; and finally, my new project manager had a newborn child that was sick.

Even resolutions to problems were not honored.

After that, they assured me they were giving me “the best of the best,” yet her work and communication were subpar, characterized by missed deadlines and a slew of excuses. It feels like the entire company has been trained to deliver the same disappointing script of excuses. They consistently miss meetings, are always late in delivering work, and the quality is unacceptable by anyone’s standards.

To make matters worse, when I requested a refund for the unused hosting services, which were clearly marked as refundable in their policy, they flat-out refused. This is unacceptable and feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of customers.

If you’re considering working with Design Stallion, I strongly urge you to reconsider. This company is untrustworthy, doesn’t honor their own policies or promises, and operates more like a sales machine than a professional service provider. Don’t waste your time or money here. They will 100% take advantage of you, squeeze every penny they can out of you, and not delivery any product that you would be proud to put your name on. If they deliver any product at all.

We started in August of 2022. They quoted us for a progressive web application. Promised custom coding in multiple languages done by their in-house experts and programmers. I spoke to Shane, who was very friendly and a very good salesman. I spent a lot of time talking to him and asking specific questions, especially are they familiar with nutritional databases. I spoke to the designer Alejandro who listened and said yes they could do everything we are asking. They quoted 6 months, and I paid $18,000. I was put with Joe, then Jax was not sent any of the emails or description of the program at all, so I started over and spent a ton of time explaining it all to him. He was good about meeting when he said he would and was polite. The design went way off the wall in June, they showed me a build and it was all wrong. Many things I never asked for. I straightened them out I thought. Jax was polite through all of it, and I was disappointed in the lost months, but they assured me it would be back on track. Then a week later, Jax was promoted. I started with Anna. Once again, she was told nothing, it was like I was starting over again. I spent a long time talking to her about it and re-sent all the emails. She is not a good listener and talked over me. She never understood the project or tried to. Is extremely unprofessional. She no showed 5 or 6 times for meetings. I complained about this for the first time. They put me then with Enza, who said she was a supervisor. Once again, I updated her completely on the project and she also talked over me instead of listening and I never felt confident. In the few updates I had, things were not right, and she was so aggressive. She would rather tell me how the app was supposed to work rather than listen to the person who invented it. It wasn’t just functional things, she just wanted it her way. She also no showed frequently and would not answer a single direct question. I asked to speak to the developer, and not be with any more middle representatives. I could tell by the work, they weren’t being told the right things. Then I was moved to Daniel. He said he is the developer and has 10 years’ experience. He assured me everything I am asking for can be done. This was November of 2023 a year into our 6-month promise. He assured me I was speaking to the person I could trust, and he was going to get the job done. I believed him and felt reassured. He listened well, and I once again had to resend all the files and explain the app fully. Then he pretty much disappeared. I stopped getting updates, and he would finally answer only to no show for meetings. He was always very stressed and very busy, but when we would talk, he reassured me, and I believed in him. As he asked, I sent a list of about 20 things that still needed corrected. Some super small and easy to fix, and some larger functional issues. It took over a month to schedule the meeting because he kept needing to delay it, but he kept promising it was done. We had the meeting and only 1 maybe 2 things of the 20 were completed. It was a bigger one, but nothing else was addressed. We are 18 months in and it’s a mess. He lost it, yelling and out of nowhere he said he refuses to address anything or work on the app until I sign a form saying I am happy with all the work and will not ask for a refund. He was screaming at me demanding I sign it. He said the app is done. But it is not! I can’t sign saying it is good when it isn’t. Then he lied and said I never asked for these things. Then he demanded to launch the website and fix things later. It makes no sense; it is not even functional. I have said it to every person I dealt with, and him specifically. I have all the emails. I demanded a refund. They completely over promised and cannot do custom coding. If your app doesn’t fit within a simple template, they cannot do it. If I get any kind of resolution, I will change my review. Otherwise, they will see us in court, where I have proof of all the communication.

Mark Allen was very patient with me as I started into a realm I had very little experience in... that being, setting up a functional website. All the obstacles were carefully worked out with me, and procedures explained with me. I will have to admit I put the customer service abilities of Mark to the test as I can be a bit hot headed, but he was able to calm me down and keep us on the tracks. Once I get used to the maintenance end of this website, I am sure all will run smoothly. I still have 6 months of maintenance working in tandem with their crew if any bugs occur with the website, but I am sure we will manage hurdles fine.

After a year, I realize I could have developed my own website easily with help found on the internet. Design Stallions website proved totally ineffective and was $1250.00 down a rathole. It would have continued to cost me more to use their services in order to achieve the exposure I needed. Don’t waste your money. Their talent is far from first class. A huge disappointment.

2 years ago I wanted to take my business to another level and get clients with a different resource so I went ahead and decided to get a website. I payed over $2500 for a website that still to this date 2 years after had a lot of errors. Over the phone they talk very sweet and polite but don’t let that fool you. They never took time to make my website the way I wanted it. Recently I decided to go with another company cause I felt stuck after having my domain, website and email shut down cause they wanted another $2000 to do my web hosting. I said no!!! I’ve seen a lot of other business associate paying way less so I asked them for all my website information such as: transfer code name, backup of website and how the website was built and this was over 3 weeks ago and I still have not gotten that information which I am entitled too.

My husband is working with this company and it’s absolutely a nightmare. They do not communicate well, false promises, selling is on point so they get their money, but after you give them the money they do not follow through. We’ve requested a refund and just keep getting assigned a new team and promised that things will get better but it takes weeks for someone from the new team to even reach out and it’s just the same poor quality work and excuses over and over again. Please do not give this company your business!

When I started my journey with this company I had just earned freedom and a new start on life after prison. I was naive and illiterate with computers but I had read enough to know E-Commerce was the way to earn an income. I opened a WIX site and quickly learned I needed help. Searching for web designers; A Danny Davis from Design Stallion contacted me and sold me on a belief, they would help me learn and growth with my WIX site. I saw it as an investment in my success to transition back to society and give back to the world I took advantage of. All said, in 4 months they sold me $4,400.00 worth of web design to which NOTHING WAS FINSHED. I was so frustrated!
I filed a credit card dispute, Mark Allen contact me; stated "Iwill refund $1,974.00 out of the total if I would only drop the dispute".
I did not want to deal with them any more; I lost confidence in building E-Commerce, A lot to learn for a 58yr. old man starting life over. I did what he asked and he never refunded the money.
I learned a lot; On line service from Design Stallion will put you at a disadvantage. Know what you're doing when you deal with this company because they will take advantage of you. They did me..

The main problem pertained to my ignorance of the issues and vocabulary relating to the web set up. I think this could have been avoided by spending more time up front in educating me on the process.

Further to the above comment, I should have been made aware of all the costs involved.

In any case...I like the final product and it is working fine as of now. Also, Lisa ---my principal correspondent---was very pleasant and helpful. Despite dealing with a medical emergency at home for her boy...she got the job done
