I've been an insurance agent since 2000 (25 years). Prior to me working with Engage Local, during those previous 23 years, I was able to only get 21 reviews. After 8 months using their services, I'm up to 113 reviews (only one being a 4-star review, and all others are 5-stars). What else needs to be said? I'm so glad I hooked up with Engage Local.

I have mixed feelings on this company, but the bottom line, to try them out (cancelled after 2 weeks), I think they charged me too much and for my business as a chiropractor, I realized I didn’t need their services. They did remind me of the fact that I need to ask people for reviews more, so I am thankful for that.

I do see where their services could be beneficial, especially for an insurance business or a business where you don’t know your clients well or see them often and in really large cities. And if they charged me much less, I would probably use them. Like I would do $10/ month for their services, but not what they wanted to charge to continue, for 2 locations with the cheapest option and a discount it would have been $165/month. My advice to the company, charge much less for smaller towns where your services might be nice, but aren’t that needed.

The people I talked to were nice and they seem to be on the up and up, just overpriced, but perhaps I am just cheap. 🙂

Call to cancel my subscription, got an answering machine. Waited awhile and no call back. Called again and a nice young lady picked up. She told me she would cancel my subscription and make certain the billing did not hit next cycle. But I must have an “exit call.” I said ok. At no point was I told it was reliant on video chat enable. I WORK ON THE ROAD.

Conveniently, the next closest time available for “the exit call” was two days after my next cycle. Hearing that, I asked “am I still going to be charged? Im telling you now Im canceling”

I was informed the billing would stop immediately and I could just take the call on the 26th. So here we are, I have been charged once more and they are REFUSING to cancel and credit me back for the charge they took from me after the call.

They acknowledged the call was recorded, they acknowledged after fighting with me that they could “close my account without a credit” right over the phone. Yet they refuse to do it citing “policy”. Acknowledged he could help me but flat out refuses unless i get on a video chat after drafting an unauthorized charge. Beware of any company that doesn’t let you control the billing on the online platform. Terrible service.
