Came here on Saturday night and really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere here! They do a great job of bringing Ireland to Richardson.

The drinks were strong and tasty, however the food was so-so. Wished the Reuben Sliders had rye bread - the current buns used are just too much bread for the meat that’s put on them. My boyfriend ordered the Lamb Shank and while he liked it enough, he said he would likely try something else if we go again. Personally I got the Honey-Whiskey Roasted Salmon, and the sauce tasted prepackaged to me. Luckily I ordered the house salad as a side, so I just mixed in the salmon and made my own salmon salad which ended up being really good.

Overall, we’d definitely come back because the atmosphere and live music are really wonderful, but it might be more for just drinks and small bites.

While visiting Dallas for business, we stopped by Gillespie's Tavern as it was right near our hotel. We had a group of 6 and were seated right away. Our server was great and food was very good. I ordered the Shredded Apple, Kale and Cabbage salad. It tasted great and was a very large portion. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I popped in for some late lunch and a drink recently. The service was great and we really enjoyed chatting with Sam. She was very attentive and suggested we try the potato skins and the Bangers and Mash with Peas. The bangers were good and different from other pubs we have been to. They were more petite and softer. The mashed potatoes were incredible and the peas were good as they were not soggy or icky (because, you know… peas). They gravy and onions were a great addition in any combination bite. We plan on going back for one of the trivia nights they host and I want to try another dish.

I ordered a turkey sandwich, but what I got was definitely not turkey. I'm not one to complain so I ate it, but... it wasn't great. And my husband got the Irish nachos and he said that it tasted like fish, so he assumed they cooked the chips in the same oil. I tasted one and holy moly it was like I just ate a crispy piece of straight-up fish. We also had the pretzel appetizer which was good, my brother had the Gillespie burger which he said was good, especially the corned beef that came on the burger. Also, the side of cabbage was tasty.

Our server, I think her name was Ashley She was AMAZING. She was so sweet, so attentive and she was sooooo good with our kids. She might be the best server I've ever had! She made our experience unforgettable!

Doing a job in Plano and decided to try since near the hotel I was staying at. Sat at the bar and had to wait 10+ minutes to get a water and a menu. After another 15 minutes of the bartenders ignoring me while they chatted up and having a good time at the other end of the bar. Was about to walk out when the lady next to me finally got thier attention. Had the lamb shank and it was very good. Decided to go back a few days later and try the fish and chips. This time I had service. The fish and chips were a little disappointing though. Not sure if I would give them a 3rd try.

Me and the wife came here for the first time on a Friday night. The band was packing to leave and it was only 10:00.
Was a little disappointed about that. But we stayed and had a couple of appetizers, which was pretty good. I ordered an Old Fashioned Cocktail with Buffalo Trace/ smoked it was very good (had 2). The service was also very good at the bar area. Will be back again to hear a band. Hopefully.

Sat at our table for a while before the manager or owner finally stopped by to ask if we needed anything. Several minutes later a waitress came to take our drink orders. Drinks tasted good, but my husband’s Jameson flight had no indication of what was what and the waitress had been misinformed about the order of the whiskeys. (The orange was clearly not where she said it was supposed to be.) We watched our appetizers travel around the dining room and then return to the kitchen because they couldn’t find our table. When we finally got them, the Scotch eggs were very good while the Irish potato skins were ok. My husband and I ordered a fish and chips to split (which we told our waitress) but when it was delivered, we didn’t receive an extra plate. The fries under the fish were lukewarm while the fish was hot (but under seasoned). My mom’s Rueben was apparently not initially put in so she watched us eat our entire dinner before her sandwich was delivered. Her fries were also lukewarm. Our server was trying to make our experience a good one but unfortunately she had too much to cover.
