Horrible company to have an Escrow account with. they will not send updated statement with balance even after requesting them. Then claim they send them out at the end of the month but I am constantly having to request them. even if I request them i rarely get them. We also found over $2000 in errors that had to be corrected a few years ago. If you are doing an escrow account I recommend you go elsewhere. This is a horrible place to work with.

As a buying agent, my experience with this company was abysmal. I emailed the title company at orders@highcountrytitle to order title work, and after four hours, I had no response. I sent a request to cancel the order the same way I had requested it, and still, no response. When you call the company, you have to leave a voicemail to get a callback. Next, they sent wiring instructions to my client for the earnest money, and now the earnest money is with the wrong title company. I finally managed to get ahold of someone at the title company, expressed my frustration, and the last thing she said was, β€œDon’t use us again.” Don’t worry, I will not.

They missed an outstanding tax payment and now there is a tax lien on my property. When I called them they made excuses and said we had to wait for the past owner to make the payment. 40 years of customer service taught me you fix your customers problem then you figure out how to recoup the cost or discipline the employee for the mistake. High Country has made their problem my problem. Thank goodness I caught this quickly or who knows what kind of issues I would have.

I pointed out that my SS# was incorrect on early docs for review and also at final closing. I was brushed aside and assured it would be corrected before filing. It was not and I spent over 18 months getting it corrected for (Federal and State) tax purposes. It was a nightmare. The rest of closing was well explained and professional.

Kaitlin was a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive to questions that I had and patient when some things didn't run smoothly. Only suggestion I would make is to make the wire instructions clearer on your form. I didn't know ACH payments were accepted, so that delayed the closing date. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kaitlin and team!
