Good spot for pre Rangers games. They do get busy so be aware it’s going to take time for someone to come to your table and re up on beverages but other than that amazing spot. I go to this place before I got into the garden for the Rangers

First time dining at Jack Doyle’s and it won’t be my last! Made reservations for 6 for dinner a couple of days before a Ranger game. Two of us arrived a few minutes early and were pleasantly greeted and shown to our table. We were promptly offered drinks while we waited for the others to arrive. Once everyone arrived they ordered their drinks and we decided what to order for appetizers and dinner. After we ordered, our food came out quickly and hot. The shrimp tacos and buffalo wings were delicious. I ordered the spicy avocado chicken wrap and that was delicious too. Others ordered burgers, steak and fries and fish n chips. We all enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. Our server was Anastasia and she was wonderful. So, before tax & gratuity it was just under $50/pp. (we had 9 alcoholic beverages). I find this much less than what you would expect to pay in NYC. Especially for great food and service. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area and I would definitely recommend this establishment to others. Thank you Jack Doyle’s and your staff.

5/11/24 first time here, the sign board out front said "Ranger Game - SOUND ON"
so I knew it was going to be the perfect spot for dinner and a show 😉
I had a burger with mushrooms and fries. All good- and a beer.
Friendly service and like other reviews - no rushing to get out. This place has a comfortable and chill vibe.

Really nice pub for happy hour or dinner. The food was great, definitely recommend the steaksandwich and fish and chips. Worth the visit if you want a good pub in NY!

No one ever came to our table. After 30 minutes waiting, we had to stand up and order from the bar because we would have not received any kind of service. The bartender prepared the drinks and left them on top of the bar for us to pick them up. Drinks were nothing special. If you are looking for a great experience, this is not your best option.

NOT A SPORT BAR: During our recent trip to New York City for the holidays, my wife (a big Vikings fan) and I wanted to watch the Vikings vs. Packers game at Jack Doyle’s, which we’d heard was a popular spot for football fans. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.

We arrived an hour before the game and were surprised to learn that reservations were required to watch a football game. When I asked the host about the process to wait for a table, I couldn’t get a clear answer, and when I asked if there was a chance we’d be seated, I received little guidance. This lack of communication was frustrating.

Looking around, the place seemed outdated, and the TVs were small and hard to see—certainly not ideal for watching a game. I also read their menu and their food was overpriced, so we decided to leave and found another spot that better suited our expectations.

Jack Doyle’s might work for some, but based on our experience, it wasn’t the right fit for us. A clearer reservation process and better communication from the staff would have made a big difference.

Great atmosphere in a prime location near Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. The food was good, great beer and drink selection, and prices were decent too. Our service was amazing. We had 3 different people helping us and didn't wait for anything. Seems to be a very strong team and they all helped each other.
