I needed help with printing from my phone and many copies. Stephanie was great! She helped me with all of it. I also want to inform everyone that there is a vending machine at the front door that has Narcan for free. Saves lives!

Hi,
My mother and I visited the Downtown Kokomo Library on 2/15/2024 to get copies of my brother's obituary laminated.
I was DELIGHTED to have met Ben, and appreciated everything he did for us, from guiding us thru the laminating process to his sincere sympathy for our loss. He was also gracious to explain other services they provided like converting old VHS tapes to CD's or copying them to a flash drive. In this world of lacking customer service, I felt that the customer service from Ben was by far the best I have encountered in years. I personally have been in customer service my entire life and know what it means to treat people with respect and that's exactly how I was treated by Ben.
The library is lucky to have Digital Ben in their Digital Den. 🙂

It's very nice and clean. They could do better about keeping track of their books that have been turned in and everything though. The new self check out is very convenient.

Update: They have done very little to do better on keeping track of their books that have been returned.

I love the library. Did you know they can fax documents, make copies, make copies off your phone. I like computers but I do not enjoy reading a book on a computer screen. There is a certain joy in holding the book and turning the pages. I hope parents take their children there and show them the joy of books. The staff are kind and helpful.

Solid staff, able to suggest new authors if coming in for fiction or nonfiction reading; excellent ladies in the genealogy department in the basement - never flinched when I brought my obscure, non-genealogically-related questions, and found several relevant and helpful tomes for me, with a smile. I do wish there were more books by the authors I'd like to try out, but recognize that this would be a space issue; they are more than happy to find and request materials through alternate libraries, as well. My kids enjoy coming for graphic novels, books, and movies.

All your reading, movie and music needs in one place. Easy access to computers with prints for a reasonable cost. The Tech Den is is great for 3d printing.

This library is decent & mediocre but they have lots of low lives, idiotic individuals & the most backward ass patrons coming in & out of there. Most of these patrons who go in & out of this library are negative, hostile, inconsiderate, rude & disrespectful. This is why I hate coming to this library it's because of the atmosphere & surrounding environment of idiots you have to tolerate & constantly put up with. Other than that you have people who are supposed to be helping you with computer questions & whenever you need their help or assistance they stick around until you figure it out but if you have more questions or need more assistance they leave & spend more time sitting on their ass. & then it's the inconvenience of having to get up & constantly require their service to help you out instead of constantly walking away & sitting down & not doing much of anything besides answering the phones.

I dare anybody to try and navigate the thing they call a website. It would be nice to browse the book selections before you actually go to the library but good luck. When you look for books, you get e-books, audio books, the schedule for the kiddie programs and everything else but what libraries were originally created for...BOOKS! The entire site is illogical and anyone responsible for its creation and maintenance should be fired yesterday!
