We were very excited to come here based on reviews, but left underwhelmed. Here are the pros: friendly server, the best butternut squash soup I’ve had. My friend enjoyed the fried goat cheese. We appreciated the wine list. The cons: the entrees were very underwhelming. The scallops were fine but the risotto was undercooked. The presentation of the veal chop was beautiful and the protein was flavorful but the side potatoes and compote lacked flavor and both came out cold. We heard the table next to us also comment that their entrees were just “okay”. The portions of the entrees were also much larger than one would expect at a fine dining restaurant (this may be a pro for some). We decided to take our desserts to go. We did enjoy the almond ricotta cheesecake but the chocolate tort was just average.

Lot 12 Public House offers a delightful and welcoming dining experience, where the proprietors personally greet guests and prepare each dish with the freshest, high-quality ingredients. The seasonal menu is full of intriguing options, often making it difficult to choose between two fantastic dishes. Add in the daily specials, and then I often find myself left with a third tough choice. Over the years, personal favorites have included the tender duck breast and the indulgent veal chop. The wine selection is impressive yet approachable, offering a perfect pairing for each meal. Desserts are house-made, and when enjoyed with a cappuccino or espresso, they provide a flawless ending to the evening. The servers are warm and attentive, helping to create memorable experiences. We go for special occasions with friends and often times for a quiet dinner for two to ease into the weekend. During the spring and summer, dining on the porch adds an extra touch of charm, making it a perfect retreat.

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Lot 12. The food is incredible, the service fantastic, and the ambiance quaint.

The duck was succulent and flavorful. The goat cheese and crab dip melted in our mouths. The surf and turf special was seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Second time at Lot 12, and still an unreal experience. We’ve eaten in restaurants around the world, some Michelin, and this competes! Just phenomenal. Great wine list, incredible service and romantic ambiance. I got the salmon bruschetta appetizer and hubs got the pulled pork eggs rolls - both were delicious (we’d put that apple butter bbq sauce on everything if we could..). The lobster is out of this world, and country fried short rib special insane. We shared a port and took the lemon ricotta cheesecake back to our hotel, where we happily gorged that evening. Thanks to Becky for being so fun and helpful, we had an amazing time. Can’t wait to come back! This spot is VERY much worth going out of your way for. Stay in a local inn for the night and indulge!

A special occasion restaurant. The food is rich and decadent, and it is quite pricey. Reservations recommended.

Always a spectacular dining experience! My husband and I enjoyed an excellent dinner on the porch on Sunday after enjoying the Apple Butter Festival. The porch is so romantic and lovely on a nice night. The service is spectacular and pays attention to details that most fine dining restaurants don’t bother with anymore. The food is clearly prepared by a gifted chef who cares greatly about his craft. Just out of this world! This place is such a hidden gem in a small town! This level of dining and service can be found in Manhattan and other major cities and we’re lucky enough to have Lot 12 nearby in beautiful Berkeley Springs! Thank you for such a wonderful evening. We really savored it!

Maybe the best dining experience I've ever had. My date and I didn't have a reservation but they sat us at the bar, where we had the pleasure of talking to Jackson the bartender throughout our meal. Fabulous conversation and he recommended a wine that my date just loved. Three course meal that was just to die for and main entree portion that were substantial. Go eat here, it's a complete experience and not one to be rushed!

What a gem! We took in the food after taking in the waters and what a treat it all was.

Every single dish that we had was delicious and gloriously presented. The prosciutto wrapped figs with goat cheese (a special) were exquisite. The crispy duck was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The panko crusted crab cake served with strip steak was fantastic and the ramp chimichurri won't be soon forgotten. The chocolate torte and lavender creme brulee were both wonderfully delicate ways to wrap up the experience.

Overall we couldn't have been more pleased. It was an wonderful dining experience!
