Macallans Public House is located in Downtown Brea and it’s the #1 WHISKEY BAR IN ORANGE COUNTY, with largest selection of scotch and over 400 different whiskeys, including some of the rarest and hardest to find.

With a lively Irish Pub ambience and satisfying Irish comfort foods with a contemporary spin, I can see why this place is so popular!

Their Reuben Sandwich had tender corned beef, kraut, Havarti cheese, Mac sauce with marble rye bread and crispy onion rings. Classics like their Fish-n-Chips was crispy and flaky cod with crispy thick fries. Both so hearty, flavorful and delicious!!

I was surprised to find out that they have a Hidden Speakeasy so of course I had to check it out! The charm and cozy atmosphere where Members and non-Members can enjoy is one of the reasons why this pub is a favorite!

Their Nine Social Wine Bar is next door and it is simply gorgeous!!

They have weekly events like Pub Trivia, Magic of Mike O’Brien, Whiskey Dinner Pairings, Whiskey Class and more. Make sure to make reservations.

Jess had the most gracious and wonderful customer service!! Thank you to Aaron for giving me a tour of the Speakeasy and their Nine Social Wine Bar next door.

I don't understand how this place stays in business. I went in today, Saturday for a brunch for two with mimosas package from Groupon.

Went in without any expectations and was blown away by the quality and value. At this price point, i felt like i was robbing the store.

Ordered the Fish and Chips and Full Irish Breakfast, and both were very satsifying. The Fish and Chips were some of the best I had. The cod was crisp and light on the outside and moist and tender on the inside, and the chips were unlike any I had before.

Will definitely return.

This spot has an incredible selection of spirits. We started with the World Traveler whiskey flight, followed by a few neat whiskey drinks. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the live music was a great bonus. In a fun twist, a couple on a first date joined our table because their date wasn’t going well. On a trip to the ladies' room, I stumbled upon a charming phone booth, only to discover it was actually a hidden speakeasy! No one at my table believed me until the person I saw enter walked past us. Eventually, we were allowed in with a small entrance fee since it’s a members-only speakeasy. We enjoyed another whiskey drink and even shared a cigar before heading to the next bar. I’ll definitely be back for the impressive whiskey selection and great entertainment!

The restaurant is in a private area behind the mall. There is plenty of parking for all with a parking structure right across the street. The restaurant is small but cozy. You can have a family and group dinner there. The food is good and does range over $10. There’s a good beer selection and alcoholic drinks to satisfy the palate. The waiters are friendly and don’t push to hurry and eat. The place is clean and the bathrooms too. There’s nostalgia all around and big screen tv to watch sports. There’s a nice size bar and out door dining too.

Fun pub/restaurant!! Everyone was extremely nice. Our waiter could have checked on us a bit more often....but the atmosphere was very pleasant. It's a very cool place!

The only negative is the women's bathroom was pretty messy. I heard the men's bathroom was pretty clean tho.

Nachos were ok. The pasta with chicken was very good 👍. Definitely recommend the pasta and chicken.

Hung out on a Sunday and we enjoyed the karaoke. Great sound system. Kool KJ....fun guy!!

We shall return. I believe this will be our new go to on a Sunday evening.

Been here a couple of times. Weekend brunch can get pretty packed, but what do you expect from a good pub with a huge food and drink selection and great atmosphere. Came here before for happy hour too, the bread pudding was good. They have a great whisky flight selection too if you wanna try a bit of everything. They have a whisky list too, which is nice so I don't keep on troubling the bartender. Staffs are very friendly, bartender is also very friendly (at least when I was there).
It's one of those place that you think is gonna be loud but it isn't. I can drink and hear my friends, which is pretty rare and a very nice find. Would I come back? If you're reading this, I'm probably on my way there right now.

Saturday evenings with Michael Kelly's solo fiddle show are the best! Reasonably priced artisanal food with good vegetarian options.

Went for the whiskey and food pairing tasting event. We were promptly greeted and seated for the event. Whiskeys and food pairing were nice. Wish i knew you could ask for a non seafood pairing. The server was just reading off the cards so asking for more detailed information wasn't in the cards. There was a live band there so it was hard to hear too. Place was clean, but the event would do better with a bartender that knows the product.
