I wouldn’t recommend wasting your hard-earned money here. The staff, particularly the security, were shockingly disrespectful—especially toward women. I was with a large group and suggested McKenna’s since our first choice was packed. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake.

When I presented my ID (clearly visible in my wallet), the security guard responded with unnecessary hostility. At first, I wasn’t sure if he was joking, but he doubled down on the insults, making it clear he was serious. His behavior was completely unprofessional and uncalled for.

Rather than tolerate such treatment, my entire group—seven people—chose to leave, and I’m so glad we did. After reading other reviews, I see that this kind of behavior isn’t uncommon at McKenna’s, which is disappointing but not surprising.

If this is how they treat their customers, I don’t see this place lasting long. To the security guard: whatever personal issues you’re dealing with, strangers aren’t your punching bag—maybe consider therapy instead.

Typical chill NYC casual bar, good bar food, nothing fancy but well done basics... Chill and attentive staff that really made sure things were cleaned up. There was one drunk guy that tried to linger a little too long and the staff immediately, and politely asked him to move back to his friends... Super smooth with no drama! But much appreciated 👍🏼

Cool vibe bar with Awesome apps and pinball machines in back.. Went here for a lunch meeting and the food did not disappoint..
Really delicious sweet potato fries..
Had the Rueben which was actually really better than I expected..

Went in on 2/26 to get a quick drink and the bartender was so rude and nasty to my friend who slipped on the step due to the rain. Started mocking us and giving us attitude so we decided to not give our business there. While he’s checking IDs at the door he’s GLARING at us and watches as we leave and says “NEXT TIME WE ARENT A BATHROOM” bc he assumed us leaving due to him being hostile and rude was bc we just came to use the restroom. Very nasty and rude. Creates a hostile environment especially for a group of women. Have also seen multiple roaches in this establishment. Very dingy and dirty

Had a drink here in the afternoon. A standard Irish bar in the city. Great happy hour drinks. It was busy but you know it's the place to go in the meat packing district. Will come again.

It was the day before St. Patrick's Day and we were looking for a quick bite to eat and snuck in here. I'm so glad we did. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and none of us were disappointed. I would recommend and I would go to again. The server was very friendly and did a great job. You also can sit outside or inside.
