This place has become a favorite for sure. No tunes,just a cool vibe. Get the dark. You only have two options,light or dark and you get two at a time. They also have a great burger and fries lunch for $12. We stopped there several times on our visit and I know I'm going to miss it when I go back home.

Great bar. Saw dust on the floor. Beers served in half measures when you order a pint and they serve either light or dark. It's properly nostalgic 🍺 would visit again. $32 dollars for 4 beers when we visited Feb25

04/05/2025. Very disappointing experience.
The customer service was honestly awful. One staff member in particular was extremely rude, but he never gave his name. We were hoping to enjoy our time here, but that was impossible with how we were treated.

The place was packed, and there were no available seats at the bar, so we sat down wherever we could. Instead of politely asking us to move or explaining the situation, the waiter yelled at us. It was completely uncalled for and incredibly unprofessional.

I understand this spot might be known for its vibe, but if that includes being shouted at for something simple, I’m not interested.
Won’t be coming back.

The one and only!!!
I think I can finally call myself a New Yorker, since I’ve been coming to this place for about twenty years now. Maybe a small number compared to some of the veteran members who’s been coming to this classic spot for over many decades. Fell in love with this spot when I first moved here it was one of the first bars then my college buddies walked into.

Old pictures, wishbones on the chandelier, saw dust on the floor. Light or dark only, and the mustard. Everything about this place is so unique. Even after there’s so many years, I love walking into Spot whenever I’m in the neighborhood. It’s definitely the spot for me to bring visitors from out town.

My tip is get one and one get a small cracker plate with cheese, yourself a bowl of chili,. I promise you won’t regret it.

Such a cool, historic place. You can stay for hours admiring the stuff on the walls. Great staff, you have two options: dark and light beer. It’s fresh and delicious. Bartenders are no nonsense. I came early on a weekday and was able to share a table no problem. Great people, sawdust floors, and just a neat place to be. Highly recommend stopping in while in NYC

A must visit in the city. You can’t replicate the history and experience that you get here. Plenty of stories about the place. Enjoy it for what it is: a loud, cramped, cash only, draft beer speciality joint. Service was great. These bartenders are busy but polite.

This was a fantastic little place with a lot of history. The service and atmosphere were awesome! I can only give 4 stars due to the fact that, sadly, I don't drink beer, and there were no other alcoholic beverages offered. Otherwise, it would get 5 stars.
