Last Wednesday my internet went down. We scheduled a service call for the next day between 1pm-5pm and nobody showed. I called customer service and they said the technician called and left a message when there was no answer. I had no voicemails nor did I have a missed call. Now let me back up a moment to say there was a tech next door the day I reported the issue (and scheduled for Thursday). Common sense did not prevail and the technician left after serving neighboring homes while I was still dark.

When on the phone trying to locate the tech for my appointment, I was told I had to reschedule for Saturday between 8am-12n. By 11am Saturday, I called and was left on hold for 10 minutes. I hung up and made call 2 where the customer service representative said he’d be there by 11:30am. Things were looking up until it was 11:58 and I made my 3rd call where I was told, like Thursday, the technician called and left a message because there was no answer. I was becoming frustrated and angry because, again, I had no voicemails or missed calls. I was told he would swing back. 15 minutes later, corporate called to cancel and, AGAIN reschedule for Tuesday between 8am-12n.

Now, all that said, what’s going to happen when nobody calls or shows tomorrow morning. I’ve been telling customer service repeatedly there is a problem with connecting between myself and the service tech and it seems like we just keep doing the same thing over and over that’s not working. Mediacom, I work from home 25-50% of the week and you had me away from work an entire afternoon.

Also, 5 days without service deserves a credit for those days. It’s the right thing to do.

Now on my 2nd day away from work tomorrow, sitting and waiting, how can you guarantee the tech will, in fact, connect/call and show up to the repair? I don’t believe Mediacom did any problem solving to see if there might be a reason I cannot with the. Tech….they just kept rescheduling . After the first error, I’d want to know then cause. If there’s a 3rd incident, you’d better show up with some problem solving ideas. Rescheduling is NOT an option.

Wifi was decent. Switched providers because I didn't want to rent equipment anymore. I should have accepted a mailing label when I canceled because the North Webster office was not open the 2 times I attempted to return equipment. Closed early Fri Feb 7 and a sign on the door today says closed until Friday. My bad for not calling before I made the trip. Trip number 3 on Friday although I will call to confirm someone will actually be there. 😑

If you want your internet to cut out 4 times a week then this is the service for you.
I can not stress this enough though, ive had several spans stretching an entire month where i would get an outage every single day without fail. Would call them to see why this is happening so frequent and i never get a straight answer, explained to them that i partially work from home and this is greatly interrupting my work. best they could do was offer 10$ dollar credit. what a joke. This is the absolute worst internet provider ive ever had. And before carlos or kathy or whatever bot replies with their "thank you for your reply, we would love to make this right" BS, no the hell you dont. Quit wasting our time, stop scamming your customers and fix your damn issues. For how often they raise their prices, you would think they would have the money or resources to fix their shit

Called about canceling service and was told I had to pay twice as much as my monthly service for that. Is this the way to keep customers? There's got to be a better way(like better service, attention to detail, and staying competitive on monthly pricing).

I live in Knox. Medicom goes out alot and buffers alot. They constantly go up on the bill. This year they went up another $40 next year I was told it would go up $30 more. I'm changing to Surf next week. It's $60 a month for life and the speed is way better. The last two representatives I talk to were rude also. I'm so glad I'm almost done with medicom

This is the worst cable experience i have ever had!!! We will be switching as soon as we can! We have been a customer since they came here! Over 30 years. Other than the price we have been happy with the service until now when you switched everything!! Very unhappy customer!👎👎👎👎

Mediacom has the laziest field techs. If you have any problems with your service they will blame your hardware. I've had 3 different techs out in 2 weeks for an issue with my internet I've had for 2 months. I've spent hundreds of dollars on new equipment and they still have not fixed the issue with their own main line. I highly recommend getting literally any other internet service provider and staying as far away from mediacom as you can.

If I could do negative stars I would. I paid $120 a month for unlimited just for the WiFi to go down Atleast 10x a month. Some would last days before we get it back. Oh you would think they would credit you or something. Yea they will. A whole whooping $3.00 for me not having WiFi for hours/days. Advice don’t use them. Run run to some where else!!! Trust me!!! Waste of time and money and employees are not the best. Don’t get me wrong I get it hard day of work but doesn’t take 3 ppl to set up WiFi. Just for them to go get high on the day. And not set my stuff up right n having to wait more days for them to send the same person out to tell me nothing was wrong with me WiFi. Appointments are a joke. This place is a joke. Anyone wants an easy joke, go work here. Don’t need to worry bout drug test n making quick money.
