Late review, this was back in July 2024. I was in the city on a work trip. Flight was canceled and it was late and storming. The bartender welcomed us in, immediately provided excellent service.
This place ruined Guiness for me anywhere else in America so far, because it was the best I've ever had. I also had the fish and chips which were fantastic. We (my co-workers and I) enjoyed it so much, we went back the next night.

Small Irish bar just feet away from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

Ordered the wings and burger. Both were tasty. A friend of mine ordered the Turkey club and enjoyed that as well.

Old time favorite for the local soccer teams that play nearby at the Chelsea field. Come for some great hospitality, beers, and classic Irish pub food ! This one is a legendary spot in nyc. And was even used as a backdrop in a law and order episode !

I got a bacon cheese burger. It was cooked perfectly, and it had a lot of bacon on it. This is a great place to go before or after an event at MSG.

5 stars for me bc of all the memories here, have always been reliable and sweet staffing that handle the riff raff of heart of the city and MSG events like gems. Always good for a pint and warm and welcoming. Just don’t go in blitzed expecting to be served you animals!

When we came this place seemed great to us. Home atmosphere, bar with history. We were not even put off by the prices, which were higher than in the bars next door. But when they brought us the food, we could not eat it. It is very inferior in quality and taste to all the bars we have been to. We did not even take away what we did not eat. The bill was a little over $100. And the tip was included in the bill. Because the tip is included in the bill, the waiters can calmly sit on the phone and not pay attention to you, they come up only when they think it is necessary. As a result, a ruined evening for $135 for two hungry and sad people.

Good spot for a drink if you’re going to Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, or staying at the New Yorker.

Google Maps is confusing when listing bars/restaurants around this area. However, this place is open and easy to find.

Drink prices are normal for the area. I’ve seen some complaints about the staff, but everyone was courteous during my 3 visits.

Food is mediocre at best. There is a deli on the next block.

Lots of people coming and going from MSG.

I ordered two burgers and a drink. For the price I paid for the burgers i would rate the burger 4.5/10. They went very light on the fries I could literally count on my plate how much fries I got(10). I was over charged for my burgers and I told the waiter. I’m pretty sure they do this all the time. So just check your receipt, I’m sure they always get away with it. Just for overcharging, that’s dishonest and I would never go back here
