Still absolutely gorgeous after all these years! Erected in 1935, the Shrine has been a beautiful place of tranquility for all who visit. The chapel has been lovingly restored and cared for. A must-see for all visitors!

Very beautiful & peaceful place. My husband and I are not religious, but we came here to view the beautiful shrine and experience peacefulness. There is also a garden here that we did not visit.

Our awesome tour guide in Juneau brought us here. We’re not religious but this is an amazing place to visit regardless of religion. We saw our first out in the wild bear here. One of my photos has his big behind in the creek. It is one of the highlights of our visit to Alaska.

The National Shrine of S Thérèse was a wonderful little place to visit. I enjoyed the peace and solitude in the chapel. There are several trails to explore, a labyrinth, gardens, and of course, the Shrine. Well worth a stop on your adventures around Juneau and it's free. Bonus: you might get to see this cute marmot!

So glad our tour guide brought us here. One of the coolest places I've been in Juneau. I could have stayed and enjoyed the peace all afternoon. If you're in town for a cruise or for a short stay, I'd recommend.

Quite and beautiful, but so many misquotes so be prepared. Walk to the church and see a breathtaking view - saw so many eagles and the water was beautiful.

The cutest church placed on a beautiful little island. Very mossy and foresty. Worth the trip outside of Juneau. Free

We did a 3-hour tour with "Mendenhall Express Rides" and the Shrine was by far our favorite. Beautiful Botanicals and Landscape. Bears eating spawning salmon and away from the crowds was a peaceful experience.
