We loved every moment of staying at the Grand Hotel Flora, every aspect of our stay was perfectly planned and accommodated. We were upgraded to the Presidential Suite and the room was simply amazing. Breakfast was lovely and the view from the breakfast terrace on the 7th floor was simply wonderful. We loved the attentive staff especially Donatella, she became our favorite person at the hotel, her attention, smile and warmth made our experience unforgettable. We found her personality engaging and her professionalism top-notch. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to shops, attractions, and a myriad of restaurants. We loved our stay, highly recommend this hotel and we will come again.

Very friendly and charming hotel with History. The room was perfect for two persona and Short trip -with bathtube and kingsize bed. Breakfast was old fashioned and good, only one thing was strange for me- extra charge for poached eggs/Benedict eggs. The staff was very kindly and very nice- really extraordinary. The view from 7th floor is amazing. Also at the Rezeption Mr Gabrielle was really professionell, helpfull and friendly. Thank You for that. The location is perfect if you like to walk a little to the Heart of Rome:) and quiet. You have also many very popular Bars (Harrys Bar) and Restaurant (Vladimirs) in very short walk distance.

We stayed twice in Dec once at the start of the holiday - and a second time to end our holiday after traveling across Europe. The team at the Grand Flora was amazing. Always to cheerful, and always always so helpful with suggestions and ideas for dinner. The front desk always made us feel welcomed every time we walked through the doors. Massimo from the evening team was especially lovely. Our stay in Italy was made extra special by the great service. Thanks for bookending our holiday. It was such a great experience and if you ever needed a hotel that made you feel special - this was the place.

Stayed just one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Older but elegant hotel. Very clean, wonderful piano bar/lounge. Large breakfast buffet with wonderful selection of cheese, pastries and an entire honey comb from which to sample from. Bathrobes and complimentary slippers. Located in a beautiful neighborhood of gorgeous medieval homes.

I booked this hotel for its relatively easy access from the Roma Termini train station given we were using Rome as a hub to travel to Florence and Naples. And in that regard it is an acceptable property - you can walk from the train station and reach the hotel in 20 min. It’s probably not recommended to walk if you have luggage, but you can manage quite easily especially when you are traveling light without luggage. And this was the main reason for selecting this property. ||The hotel is also close to the US Embassy (perhaps relevant to some) and adjacent to the Westin, another Marriott property, that looked a bit more upmarket vs. Marriott Flora - when judged by the exterior building facade only. ||In my view, the hotel seems like a traditional aged 4-star Marriott. At check-in, we were greeted warmly and we also learned there’s a wedding function taking place. That same night, we heard loud music with the DJ playing songs from the 80’s (Abba - Dancing Queen, Boney M - Rasputin … you probably get it now, till late in the evening). The hotel is from the same genre if there is a way for me to characterize it with the era of music to which it may belong.||The room was compact - as you’d expect one in a major metropolitan city - but very clean, well maintained and functional. The bathroom was larger than what I expected and clean as well as well maintained. ||As far as proximity to historical center of Rome is concerned, it takes 35 min to trek from the hotel to the Colosseum. We generally discovered that Uber is very functional in Rome and had no problem using this app for travel around the city to see the major historical sites. However, if your intent is to stay in Rome for the historical sites visits, then you probably could find another Marriott property closer to the historical action. ||Romina at the front desk was very helpful in directing us and gave us good references for nearby Italian restaurants that we tried. ||We booked a table for a New Year dinner at the hotel. The food quality and overall experience was at best average. Perhaps the same DJ was on-call unless Italian DJs still have a fondness to the beats of the 80’s. There were animated shows much to the amusement of some younger children accompanying notably US family members staying at the hotel. Overall, the event seemed an anachronism with what seemed like many retired people (preponderantly US) - with their families - among the attendees. Nothing wrong with this - just calibrating the environment for you to get a feel of this place. It’s noteworthy that while this overall atmosphere was in play, the staff at the hotel remained engaged and helpful as much as they could and that’s commendable. ||If you’re looking for a functional Marriott property closer to the train station, then this property may be a good choice. It’s a very standard experience that is also commensurately reflected in the price you’d pay for such a stay in metropolitan Rome.

Let me begin by saying, I have been fortunate to stay at almost all the Marriott properties on and around the Via Veneto on several occasions. ||Overall, my favorite is the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora, where I have stayed with my family a few times. It is my favorite for a variety of reasons, beginning their service, they have always been responsive and accommodating from the General Manager and Room Managers to the Hotel Associates. ||What also impresses me is the curated old world luxury of the hotel and its updated rooms. Though the regular rooms are cozy, I would upgrade to a deluxe for a a slightly larger room. Some also have beautiful views of the park. ||What more can top great service, old world luxury, updated rooms and meticulous maintenance? One of the best roof top breakfasts in the area and an excellent location. There’s a metro stop right across from the entrance, which is also a passage to the Spanish Steps. ||It is for these reasons I recommend and stay at this hotel when I come to Rome and I would highly recommend it over others in the area. In fact I have already booked my next stay.

Small rooms yet good service and well equipped. Good location small clean rooms and overlooking a green park. Good breakfast and kind staff who want to help and the doorman service was helpful and kind. A decent short walk would lead you to the Spanish Steps.
