Please do yourself a favor and BOOK THEM! From the very start, Paul was amazing. I am from Miami and planned our micro wedding in Sedona, so naturally, I was a bit clueless but Paul helped with everything! He gave us great ideas, recommendations on makeup artists, florals, and much more. Before our photos, he even went out to scout the area and find the BEST possible location! I was terrified hiking in my wedding dress but Paul was SO encouraging and reassuring, making sure we were always comfortable. He was kind, knowledgeable, and hilarious!!
When we got the pictures and videos... he absolutely KILLED IT and I could not ask for anything more. They are unique, beautiful, and we can't get enough; every time we watch the video, we cry like babies.

Hi all! I'll start by saying my (now) wife and I live in Miami, FL (a far cry from Southern Utah!). We wanted to elope on an accelerated timeline, so in mid-May, we started to brainstorm places around the US that we had never really been to with the hopes of finding a memorable location to tie the knot. We knew Southern Utah and the Four Corners area were beautiful from our online research and talking with friends and family, and thought it could potentially be a great place for us to elope, but weren't totally sold on it...until we came across the Shutterfreek website/social media pages and learned about "adventure elopements", something we'd never heard of before. And WOW! We are beyond grateful that we did. We reached out to Paul and Katie, and after speaking with them shortly thereafter, we were all-in on the idea. With only ~2 months before our preferred elopement date in July, Paul and Katie jumped into action, and we couldn't have asked for a better team.

In the weeks leading up to our elopement, they spent countless hours of their free time traveling around (including hours on the road) and scouting different locations, brain storming on different adventures, and connecting us with local purveyors (florist, hair/makeup, officiant, restaurants, etc). We were in touch with them every step of the way, and in presenting different options, they always made us feel like we were in control. That was huge for us.

And their work? Well that just speaks for itself - Paul and Katie are world class photographers and videographers and we would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about an adventure elopement or an 'off the grid' wedding ceremony. But beyond that, they are just really good and honest people. Their passion for their work is so refreshing to see in a world where "going the extra mile" seems to be more of the exception than the rule. There is no where they won't go and nothing they won't do to get the perfect photo or video clip for your special event (Paul is also a master drone pilot!). The energy they bring is contagious, and we feel like it definitely rubbed off on us in every photo and video clip we have, which we now will cherish for the rest of our lives.

By the end of our ~36 hours with Paul and Katie, we felt like we knew them forever. We could not have been happier with the entire experience - as Paul likes to say, it was EPIC!

Paul and Katie went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. The attention to detail, light, fun energy, thoughtful questions to evoke emotion, all pieced together the perfect experience for our wedding day. We had a unique morning ceremony with a brunch reception in Durango - this made for less than ideal lighting conditions but their expertise and hard work made for a truly breathtaking final product in digital and film photos and video. Their in house printing is absolutely gorgeous. We would highly recommend Shutterfreek!
