Choosing a place to dine in NYC can be overwhelming, simply due to the sheer numbers and varieties of options. We stopped in this establishment mainly due to the proximity of our hotel. As it turns out, it was a indeed a good choice.

They offer a good selection of comfort foods, and gourmet selections. Pricing are reasonable in comparison. The staff was attentive to our needs, and entrees were done in a timely manner. The interior of the dining area was nicely furnished to provide a cozy ambience.

Overall, a good place to dine in for dinner, or just to have a drink with family or friends.

The Joyce is a hidden gem of the city, a great little place to eat or have drinks, the staff are friendly and make you feel so welcome, they were amazing with my 8 year old daughter and it was a great place to celebrate new years eve. We visited a few times over our weeks stay and were never let down, the food, service and value for money was always good, plus as we were staying on the same street we received a 10% discount. I was even given dessert when they found out it was my birthday. The manager Ruiari was really nice and all servers were great but Carlos went above and beyond for us each visit. Would definitely visit again.

Large, clean, fanciful commons with big polished bars, plenty on tap, and high-quality menu. Friendly, chill service with cold, easy drafts. Roomy, breezy, and open. Old-school, vintage interior with echoes of beer garden and European ale house. Nice vibes and one of the best spots to linger in midtown.

Very comfortable place. Food awesome! They have their own beer. France Vs Whales Rugby and Liverpool vs Man City Football. Bean Soup and The Joyce Beer! Oh the Fish n Chips. And there’s even more incredible platters.

I will start with "the food was really good", which is true. My wife loved the lamb burger, the sweet potato fries were great and my corned beef sandwich was very good. The place was totally empty for lunch and that have me a bad impression. I am happy that at the end the meals worked well. That is what is important. Ten points for the chef here for carrying this place.

Overall this was a fine meal, and was not overpriced. Service was slow for me as a female guest alone, 15 minutes before water, drink took another 20 mins for a club soda with Tito’s, on a Wednesday night with very few guests in the restaurant. Eventually a manager took over my service and I was able to order my plate as I wished, he offered spinach as a side and I was happy with that. I stayed at the Element hotel next door and he offered a discount of ten percent to me as a guest of the hotel. I do not know that I’d go back because it’s NYC and I always try new places, but it was a good meal with a very good steak which I enjoyed after a very long day.
