Alright so check it out.. today I’m going on day 3 of having this place for lunch. Day 1 I thought “eh let me give this place a try and see how they do with a simple hotdog.” The brisket hotdog that they have is chefs kiss. Day 2 this time returning excited and setting the bar a little higher in mind I tried the patty melt. My guy. One of if not the best patty melt Iv had, and I’m not even a patty melt type of day. Today I sit here pausing as I type to lick my fingers from one hand while holding the chimichurri sandwich in the other. Absolutely superb.

I love the new vibe the Upside Pub has brought to this spot. The beer is still cold and the selection of it on tap is outstanding. The drink specials are amazing and did I mention the food? The food is over the top good. And they do a special burger every month which has been over the top delicious each time I have tried it. Anyway, my favorite thing on the menu is the patty melt. Made with a true marble rye and a smashed burger this is the sandwich for you!

Two thumbs WAY up for The Upside Pub! Opened for a little over two months in GOOF (Garden Oaks/Oak Forest), we thought tonight was a nice night to try something new. We weren’t disappointed! The inside and bar looked nice and cozy, but weather was nice so we sat on the patio that runs alongside the building. Nice setting, good music mix, games playing on a couple tvs but not at all overwhelming. Husband got their Patty Melt on Rye, we shared the Potato Latke Balls, and I got the Shrimp Roll. We loved it all! All the ingredients were super fresh. The fries that came with were also really good! Nice and golden/crispy on the outside but soft inside. We didn’t drink tonight, but we’ll be back next time to sit at the bar for beer and cocktails. Staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. So far, so great for The Upside Pub!

I love a good pub and I have no problem traversing the greater Houston area, no matter how large it may be, to visit something new, sample its food/drink, and experience its atmosphere. My quest for something new and different led me to Upside Pub, a neighborhood pub.

I had already heard about this pub from a friend and was anxious to check it out and see what it had to offer. It’s a relatively small, narrow place, with space to hold about 30 to 40 people on the inside and another 30 to 40 on the outside. It has a few televisions and music playing in the background. The music is loud enough to notice, but not so loud that you cannot hear the person you’re trying to talk to, which is a plus. Parking is plentiful, and free, so no issues there. And if you feel like a round of shuffleboard or a game of darts, they have that as well.

Upside Pub is a full- service bar and I am happy to report that they have about 15 beers on tap and another 10 in bottles/cans. This is quite good for an establishment of this size. I have visited pubs that were much larger than this that had half as many beers from which to choose. If beer isn’t your thing, never fear- there are plentiful drinking options, both adult and non- alcoholic.

Upside Pub has a small kitchen and a small menu of pub grub. When I visited, they had just released a brunch menu and I took advantage immediately, ordering the Breakfast Burrito. It was quite good and a difficult choice, considering the many tempting options on the menus. I need to pay a return visit and try different foods from the main menu. I went straight for the brunch menu, but there are several items on the main menu that sound excellent, not to mention perfect companions for a glass of craft beer.

I like visiting new and unique places for food and drink. Upside Pub is a friendly neighborhood pub with much to offer. It’s an ideal place for a solo visit or a small group, as it has the right ingredients for a memorable pub excursion.

The Upside Pub is my favorite place to have a drink and kick back with friends. Even though it doesn't focus on being a "sports bar," it's also a great place to go to watch a game with others. The Upside Pub is an integral part of its community, and it reaches out to contribute to the community in many ways. The Pub reflects the personalities and values of its owners, Paige and Andy. The staff is also class "A" all the way.

The Upside Pub is one of my favorite local spots & has been for a while, so I should’ve left this review sooner in support of them. The whole team there always takes great care of me and everyone else there. They serve great food, they know their drinks, they care to get to know all of their customers, especially their locals. Paige invests in the community, sponsoring clubs, hosting events, and going above & beyond. If more businesses operated like The Pub, the world would be a much better place.

Stopped by here on my way to class. OMG, AMAZING!! I ordered the Upside Shrimp Roll, minus the avocado. Paige is fantastic! The chef, Victor, definitely made my food with love!! Thank you, The Upside Pub, I will be back!!

Good vibe friendly staff very good food for what it is. clean very well run i will be back. Great crispy frys and I think the wings where saked in some kind of brine with rosemary before they where fryed and saused very good!!
