We visited The Wig and Gavel for the first time on a rainy Thursday night. The pub is small but mighty. We found seats at the bar, and Rob immediately greeted us with a drink menu. For cocktails, I highly recommend the Margareta Thatcher and Old Fashioned. They host a weekly trivia night and sports on tv. We loved the ambiance and conversation with other patrons. The owners are fabulous and treat you like family. We will definitely be back to try the food.

Hidden gem in downtown Sherman. Always a good beer to be had on tap. Cocktails are very good. Really like the atmosphere. Addicted to their Old Fashioned's.

Cool little place with a British vibe. Saw the menu online and wanted to have dinner. Unfortunately the menu online was not the one in the pub. Had a couple of beers and left to find food.

Hidden gem!

My husband and I had a great date night at The Wig & Gavel. The staff are so accommodating and personable. The drinks and food are different and so incredibly good. Get the bread with balsamic and olive oil! It’s delicious.
The decor is fun and a conversation starter. Even the bathroom is cute and clean.
Can’t wait to go back!

You know, it’s not perfect, but I still love it. I only go occasionally, but I always enjoy the experience. Sometimes they’re out of things in the kitchen. Sometimes I’m out of things in the kitchen at my house. It happens. The food I’ve had is good. I especially love the Irish stew. Had a really good old-fashioned today. Not too sweet, just right.

Really enjoyed my first visit! Great owners and just a solid place to stop and have a pint. The bread appetizer is great to just munch on while you put a few back. Quiet spot that doesn’t fit in, and I love that!
