USVAA has been instrumental in my continuing development as a writer. The level of the organization's professionalism is to be commended. I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend a past USVAA Writer's Workshop at WGA-West and interact with my fellow U.S. Veteran writers of all eras, and meet industry professionals. In my opinion, the multi-disciplinary approach of USVAA, under the leadership of Executive Director Keith Jefferys, offers the key elements of preparation and opportunity necessary to become successful. Because of the impact of USVAA, I am now pursuing publication of my short stories, screenwriting, and am also part of a film festival review team.

USVAA is an excellent non-profit that provides a creative outlet for a diverse group of Veterans. I have attended their monthly table read writers' workshops for a little over a year, and their mentorship has improved my work tremendously. They also stage an annual presentation of veterans' works that include writing, art, and novels. Keith Jeffreys, among other leadership members, will do all they can to help veterans succeed as artists.

USVAA provides a rare opportunity to meet and mix with Industry professionals and learn from Mentors actively immersed in the field. The network of emerging writers builds a supportive environment to learn the craft of story telling and workings of the industry. The most amazing part is… it’s absolutely FREE for Veterans! “Everyone has a story to tell… What’s yours?”

United States Veterans and Artists Alliance is an incredible organization which has positively impacted the lives of countless veterans. Started in 2004, the organization has connected the men and women who’ve bravely served our country with opportunities to learn, grow, express, and gain employment in the arts and humanities.

Since its inception USVAA has proven to be a powerful force for good in the lives of veterans and artists alike. Veterans who have had challenges transitioning to civilian life have received a helping hand from this wonderful organization. Veterans have been given opportunities to not only see their art come to life, they’ve learned how to make a living from it as well. USVAA has facilitated partnerships and built connections so that veterans could get paying work.

Over the years, USVAA has staged plays, conducted workshops, held art exhibitions, and published books. They’ve literally helped veterans see their dreams turn into reality.

The men and women who have given so much for so little, deserve the uplifting support from amazing organizations like this!

Every veteran with an artistic bent should share their foxhole with USVAA. More than any other organization that serves veterans, USVAA seems to be the one-stop shopping experience as far as my imagination can reach and it has never cost me a dime.. Additionally, I've never met a kinder, more committed group of individuals than with this organization. And bonus! They have a great sense of humor!!! Keith Jeffreys, Executive Director, has boundless energy and ideas and he has assembled a great group of mentors and services and associates to pave the way. BRAVO ZULU USVAA!!! Keep up the great work!

I want to thank USVAA for helping an ole' Hillbilly/Mexican/Paratrooper to get over the fear and anger of an awesome violent childhood in the coal mines of WV. The anger that protected me during my childhood was destroying my life. The USVAA allowed me to explore this anger through writing, acting, film making. At the end that journey I discovered Love, not the fickle relationship love but the unconditional love I now have for myself. It replaced the unconditional hate I was given as a child. Instead of waking with that devastating crippling unconditional self hate, I now wake with the nurturing, enlightened unconditional self Love. Never thought it possible to love myself, however the possibility became a reality.

Thank you so much,
USVAA

Thank you so much,

Quality veteran organization. It is time proven, trusted, tested, and respected; its outreach benefits veterans and civilian alike. As an artist, and Iraq war veteran, I've gained overall support, I've attached myself more to my veteran background, and doors of opportunities have opened up, thanks to the USVAA
