Nice little club for alternative music. Friend had some trouble getting her food order in a timely manner but there was enough to feed two people when it finally arrived. It's cramped with not a lot of seating so it's a bit hard to get a view of the performers without switching up your location throughout the night. Interesting nautical theme decor. $10 admission was a bargain night out for three bands.

This is a fantastic place to hang out. The interior is amazing and has a full sunken pirate ship theme. They"re huge supporters of local music. There's booth seating which is super comfy. Prices are good. Atmosphere is great. Food is great - general bar food burgers etc

Staff was very nice. Bar Tender was not the best at socializing but the food runner did a great job by remaking the salad for us. He was extremely nice. Drinks were a bit expensive and the tequila options were not the best.

The Food was very delicious! The lady enjoyed the pasta and I enjoyed the blacked chicken salad. I suggest a happy hour so more people can come and get drunk and buy food.

I visited this place while visiting town. Awesome bar with live music. I really like the theme and how dark it is. Nice place to have a few beers with music in the background. Food is okay I guess. My burger was good and fresh and the fried calamari not so much, it didn’t have a flavor and the sauce that came with it wasn’t very tasty.

I have to say the bartender was super nice. Check out her crystal business. I got two of her beautiful crystal skulls.

They always have live bands playing. This alone is a must visit to check out the local talent. The music genre is always different. You could get cumbias one night and rock on another, but that makes it even more awesome! Drinks are inexpensive and strong, and for it being a dive bar, the food is actually quite good. I always have a blast when I've come here and so have the people I've invited.

Absolutely reccomended.
Randomly found this place at 11pm while walking around LA and got pleasantly surprised by the way the club is decorated. As soon as you step inside you're met with low lights and pirate like tables. Me and my family were able to sit down and eat some great burgers while also listening to unique music. Such a great experience :))

Saw a show here. The drinks were really good. The show sounded good so the sound person did a good job. The atmosphere was really cool! I had veggie tacos they used a veggie patty in them, which was not very good. I think it would’ve been better with tofu crumbles or even beans. Overall it was a very fun time.

It's one of those spots where you say "Yeah, I know a place."
We found Redwood out of need for a pub after a long weekend at ComiCon. Greeted by the nicest and most helpful doorman I've ever met in my life, poured up by the most down to earth good-ol-boy bartender we've ever had in LA, served FIRE food, serenaded with actual good sound quality from bands rotating on stage. Comfortable horseshoe tables, great atmosphere split throughout, the clean but awesome divey bathroom covered in stickers you expect to hate but doesn't *reek* of piss.
This is easily a 10/10 bar for me. I will absolutely be back.
Thanks for the great time Redwood! You're a much needed reprieve from the usually disappointing Bar & Grills.
