I am very disappointed with the charcuterie board class. First, I was expecting to have some wine (the place is Wine & Design) but the owner said that she couldn’t pour wine because she didn’t have a liquor license. She said we could buy our own wine or beer from the liquor store downstairs and bring to the class if we wanted. Second, the food provided can not be called dinner. Ritz crackers, grapes, salami, nuts and cheese are snacks. Third, I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the acrylic finish of my board (the acrylic finish was done by the owner). It is sloppy and finished in such a careless way that I can’t recommend this class to anyone. Julie mentioned that every board would be unique but to me unique doesn’t mean that the board has areas where acrylic is missing or dried up acrylic on the back of the board causing it not to lay flat. Julie said that she would pour the acrylic and clean the excess from the boards. She didn’t. I think that $65 is too much for what she is offering, especially when the end product is not something you want to use. Some improvements are necessary.

Fellas, I never thought. Yet, I have done it with the lady friend and as father-daughter date. I have no artistic talent and the instructor somehow gets a picture out of me and onto a canvas. It was a great experience and I haven even partaken in the wine!

Our team had a wonderful time here with Julie and her team! Julie was very patient with our group, from being a little late (please don't be like us!) to having a few no-shows and having our own little disaster with our food. Getting our team together AND paying attention, is like herding cats, and Julie is our official cat herder! Her team is also very nice and polite, and very helpful when we needed extra napkins and things. All our paintings turned out better than we honestly thought they would and we all had a blast. Some of us are even talking about going to individual classes, we had so much fun! Thanks again, Julie and team for a very great night! Say hi to the kitties for us 🙂

I have visited many times! I love the staff and the easy to follow directions. They offer a great selection of wine and designs that can appeal to everyone! I have visited for a bachelorette party, a birthday celebration, Harry Potter trivia night, date night, and have held my daughter's birthday there with 15 kids at their children's studio. Everything was so much easy and required little planning on our part. Always guaranteed to enjoy yourself when visiting! I definitely rec. Wine and Design to all.

Went for the charcuterie and cutting board workshop. The instructor was friendly but the overall experience was not great. The final product was not what we expected. The boards took longer than normal to dry, probably because the paint was too thick. Then the resin that gets poured on top to seal the board (done by the instructor) was less than satisfactory. It was inconsistent, leaving gaps where there wasn't even resin on the board in some places. They also don't sit flat because there are globs of dried resin under the board. There were other flaws, like glitter that got onto a board before the resin was poured or cat hair, because there are cats in the studio. I have nothing against the cats but it doesn't seem like a great fit. For spending $65 per person it would have been nice to have a better quality cutting board afterwards. Hopefully this review will help bring to light the things that need fixing, so other people don't have the same experience.

Went here to paint with my fiance to so something new and different. Absolutely loved it would go again! Our instructor was super nice and helpful. I didn't get her name but we went today for their last painting session.

I love Wine & Design Orcutt! Whether it is a normal class or a private event, the staff is always helpful, happy, and encouraging. It is a great environment to try something new and get out of your comfort zone with painting. Would recommend to anyone!
