Ground floor of main house is wheelchair accessible. The kitchens/servants' hall is wheelchair accessible but it's not very clear how to get access. You're supposed to ring a bell near the entrance, and the person working in the shop is supposed to come out and escort you to another entrance and put out ramps. But if the shop is busy they don't respond. It was difficult to even get into the shop to ask for help because it was so busy. Thankfully, a staff member was walking past, and they helped us get into the building. The shop is in this building, but it's very small and busy and difficult/impossible to get around in a chair (it might work for a small wheelchair). The carriage sheds are wheelchair accessible. The small terrace gardens aren't, but you can look down on one end of them. There are two cafes - both wheelchair accessible but the bigger one gets busy and is challenging to navigate in a chair - but doable! You can follow the footpath down the side of the larger cafe and see the deer in the parkland if you're lucky! There are accessible loos and parking.

Nice park and an enjoyable walk - weather really helped. We only did the grounds and outbuildings. It's great to see the deer moving around up close.

We had a wonderful afternoon here, we drove past and saw so many deer in the grounds from the road, that we had to stop off here on a slightly drier day during our holiday! The grounds are wonderful and there's an old brewery and laundry room that you must see! If you're into books, they have a second hand book shop on site with a wide variety of genres. The house was good too, however, due to damp, one of the rooms was having repairs done, so everything was covered in plastic and there wasn't so much to look at there, but hopefully that will be sorted out soon! The grounds were actually the highlight for us, the routes not being too long and you're able to choose different paths to tailor it to the day you want. The colours at the moment are wonderful, being autumn. Make the trip, its worth it!

Visited on the free October pass and I am very swayed to get a year pass for national trust. The house was really interesting even with the upstairs being shut for refurbishment and one room which was part covered due to damage. There were many out buildings to explore and huge grounds which you could spend all day walking around. Plus Deer!!!!
There are 2 coffee shops on site and toilets located near both, a gift shop and a second hand book shop too! Prices are standard for a NT property but the quality of drinks amd snacks are worth it.

Amazing historic place. Free parking, nice grounds for walking, has a riverbank and nice views. We were able to see lots of deers across the river. The house itself has two parts; the old Tudor portion which has been remodelled to Victorian era in the 19th century and news additions done during the same time.

Has two cafes and clean public toilets. Mobility scooters were also available.

Beautiful park and house, sadly only the ground floor rooms were accessible for visitors. The rooms that were open however, were stunning.
Plenty of open space to explore and lots of deer to see which was an added bonus. Picnics areas are located in the grounds.
There are toilets and cafes on site along with a gift shop.
The only negative was the orangery cafe, whilst initially the service was excellent. Gluten free options available and alternative milks. The staff making the drink let it down. Myself and my son asked for takeaway drinks. Both were put into cups for sitting in. When we pointed this out they did not appear to be happy at having to change the cups. Bearing in mind they charge extra for takeaway cups. The drink was nice once we got them, not sure I would use this cafe again on a return visit.
Parking is free and located across the road from the main property. Free entry for National trust members.

Beautiful deer park. Its wonderful to see deer in its natural habitat. There is a historical home (only ground floor open for public) and 2 cafes. We got a sunny day which made it amazing day trip for us. Gardens are small but pretty. There are stables and shops that we didnt get time for. There are acres of land where kids played. Lots of walks to explore. A good place for family day out.

I came here with family. Great for all ages to just be wild and explore .... Lots of trees to climb, duck's to feed, fairy garden area by the cafe, grass area for picnics and running free. The flowers grown in the gardens are stunning...we did not visit inside the building but will next time
