The Fresno Co. Plubic Library is the most gracious place in Fresno CA. They were patient & great listeners! A lot of people go there trying to rebuild their lost dreams & no money in their pockets! I sincerely thank you for supplying the materials needed for dream structure & the blueprints for which way to navigate towards success. Thanks for teaching me about computers & not to fear them! One ghost exercised & a couple of more miles to go! Fresno Co, Library "Take the wheel!" Special mention for 3 Angels working for our progress; Janet, Carlos, & Matt! Not only do I see & appreciate your time & gifts, but all of Heaven does! Even more than I. God speed Angels!!!

My experience today was less than satisfactory based on the fact that management was very inconsiderate in regards to not trying to have the noise levels appropriate for a learning capabilities. There was a crying child and no one offered to have them sit in a location where they can be cared for in privately. It was also quite a disturbance for not only myself, but others I’m sure. The staff was less than able to handle the noise levels and need to be considered for re-training on ethics and morale if possible.

Don’t support Fresno County library! They don’t care about locals. I emailed them about updating my email for weeks and opening an account for my nephew but they never gave me a response. A week or two later, ‘Nathan’ informs me that a librarian was going to get in touch with me on a certain date, but I never got a response. That ‘librarian’ was 8 days late and still didn’t get back to me.

After a disappointing discussion with a staff person at the central library about the length of time to get a book hold fulfilled I told her that I had never in over 60 years of using libraries had I experienced having to wait seven days to get a hold fulfilled on a book that was listed as available. I was frustrated. About 20 minutes later the staff person called to tell me they had sent an email inquiring about the hold to the branch library.

The library in downtown Fresno on Mariposa is the main branch for the city. It isn’t fresh and sparkly like some of the new ones, but the librarians and staff who work there are fabulous. The genealogy library is exceptional, and the librarians in that department are extremely knowledgeable and helpful!
