There are good people who work here, but they are powerless to help. Over the years HDWD has broken my water line while carelessly digging in the area, turned off the water without notice and required $250 and a written application to turn it back on, and for years provided ~5lbs. of pressure given their network of leaky antiquated pipe in outlying areas. Again, the people work here are in some cases pretty good indeed, but the system is about as bad as it gets.

Nothing is done to a professional standard. Rude and disrespectful to their customers. Destruction of property. Complete dismissal of legal timeframe for construction and ignorance of sound ordinances. Yes, they provide water, but at above average pricing. Good luck if you have a problem. No level of professionalism is used. Seems like it’s a company that decided to hire all the bullies and degenerates from high school

If i could rate this agency lower i would, zero customer care, no on call personal reachable during weekends. They don't return phone calls or emails. I've worked for 3 water agencies before and this is by far the worst one. ill be attending the next board meeting to give them a piece of my mind. I got a notice in the mail for the 8th of April and they locked me off on the 23 of march 2 weeks early. I tried to call, no answer, i wrote an email, no answer, i work on base and get off at 430 they close at 5 and they won't talk to me i don't know what i can do. Worst agency ever, and this is my first bill I've missed due to being out of state.

These people are bloodsucking leeches, I had a payment arrangement to come in today, we work graveyard shift and 1030 is still early in the morning for us. The payment needed to be made today, and it is still in the morning, the guy who gets pleasure shuttling people's water off,shut our water off then peeled out, they do this to extort reconnection fees. They also never tell you that it has to be done before 10 in the morning, which does not make any sense we are doing at this business day just like every other regular company when you make an arrangement as long as it's done before they close! They need to have A class-action lawsuit for the reconnect fees they purposely try to put on people, by not telling them or giving them any chance to pay like the arrangement stated. They are bigots who hate the working class.

Clean water flows through my pipes everyday. When my bill is due, I pay it and clean water continues to flow through my pipes everyday.

There seem to be some people confused by this process leaving bad reviews. Weird.

Like, if for some reason my paper bill didn't arrive, I would not assume I didn't owe anything. I would say to myself "Self, did you use water this month? Why yes, Self, yes I did use water this month. That means I probably owe money."
And then I'd be a grown up and check on-line, call in, or go to the brick and mortar building and find out what I owed and pay it. Before the due date. Which can easily be ascertained by reviewing prior bills.

Life hack - if you make a habit of paying your bills at least a week before your due date, then you have time to deal with any issues that may crop up.

Also, if you're out of town I'm pretty certain the bill is still payable over the phone or on-line.

Sorry to rant, just don't really see from the evidence presented here how these problems are their fault.
