Beautiful spot. Caught a few trout here. Becareful, you might get swept away by the current. Use life vest as directed. The weather is so cool compared to Pine Flat Lake. Will come back again!

Beautiful place to hike... lots of wildlife, I've seen turkeys, snakes, coyotes, one hog or bore, cows, skunks, foxes, tons of beautiful birds, including fishers.

When they added boulders to the river, it made the river horrible. Used to be very nice river to canoe down.

Too much of the river is catch and release only. Cant target suckers or pikeminnows in this huge section of river, Only barbless artificial and unscented.

This area is just right below Pine Flat Dam and provides an excellent spot to try angling for trout, dip your feet, or watch the colors bounce off against the dam's wall during sunset.

There's a lot of trash in most areas unfortunately, both in and out of the water, especially discarded diapers and food items. This is unfortunate as this area in general is a beautiful spot.

During the evening hours, there are quite a bit of mosquitoes near the water, so wear long sleeves and and protect yourselves if you plan on visiting in the evening.

Beautiful area very clean in the campground area and everyone was respectful and friendly. However it was very sad to see the amount of trash that was prevalent on the shoreline of the river, even the beaches next to the camps were trash ridden. My sons and I picked up 2 bags of trash before we left and I hope others that come out to enjoy this beautiful riparian area are more cognizant of picking up after yourself.
