So, if you were raised in a small town, or the city where the neighborhood had a independent community market. You will know what I describe here.

We have been a regular of the Oliver's markets for many years. Sure we will go to the big chain grocery stores for boxed items, but if you want quality, fresh produce, fresh meats and seafood, plus an excellent deli, bakery and hot foods. This is the place in the cotati to Windsor, Ca area. There are 4 stores look them up.

We made the mistake of shopping at Big John's market in Healdsburg. It was overpriced, the deli and hot food was expensive and bland. The meat department was underwhelming. The cut of meats not the best, and the bakery overpriced. Unfortunately if you are in Healdsburg this is the only grocery store there with the exception of Safeway, which is a good alternative.

The meats at Oliver's are top grade, and speaking to store mgr., they apparently have a go to supplier for seafood (dungenous crab) in Bodega Bay. So the prices are great.

I always love their hot foods and deli. Workers are always stopping to pick up lunch and others to pick up a cooked meal.

If you are visiting and would like a good picnic type lunch go here. You will have no regrets.

Saba Shioyaki

Bought a cooked turkey online by mistake. Went in Wed before Thanksgiving to cancel - the place was PACKED and the staff was unbelievably helpful! Found a fresh Turkey and was refunded for the cooked one later the same day! Everyone was so nice. Need to shop there more often.

They took good care of us putting together an easy meal with extended family. We opted for a sushi platter. It was fresh with generous cuts of fish (the rice was a little large, but a good way to fill the guests ?). For the meat eaters, we also got the cooked flank that we sliced, slightly heated in a pan with local Japanese BBQ sauce. Rounded out with salads, every one had plenty.

Oliver's Market is a really nice local grocery store. Always clean and stocked up. Lots of parking outside. The employees are polite, friendly and what's most importantly helpful! Olivers has really good produce, a nice sushi bar, a salad bar, an awesome cheese selection, and tasty sandwiches. My husband loves their outside bbq station during the summer.
The meat is always fresh in the meat department. There is so much to choose from and most of it is local. The bakery has everything you could ever want. Their fruit basket cake is simply the best. We get it on almost every occasion. Every time one of us gets sick we come to Oliver's for some delicious chicken soup.
The prices are higher than in other grocery stores but you get what you pay for. Oliver's is a great place to shop at.

Always a great shopping experience at the Cotati store. Friendly local people and a wide selection of local artisan products. The taste ot Sonoma is c right here.

The store is beautiful and nice but DO NOT get the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Pure nastiness. It was obvious that the chicken was not originally cooked as teriyaki chicken. Usually whole or cut whole chicken breadt . No this was semi-shredded. Chicken. I couldnt even eat it. I just ate the rice. We got two bowls to split for dinner and lunch and left the other bowl on top of a garbage can in down downtown Guerneville. We should have taken it back. And it wasnt cheap. At least when i go to whole foods the food is not going to be a rotisserie chicken with teriyaki sauce thrown on it.
I hope the shepherds pie is decent..

Excellent fresh produce. Small little pop up stand in the store for breakfast burritos. Excellent.

UPDATE 6/29/23 = Just had their $12 deli cold sandwich...build your own ....loaded with condiments but no halepinos!
Sooooo good....so much...just do it!

Great, yet expensive, market. Wonderful variety. Very nice helpful staff.

* I bought sushi that was dry... so not very good. I won't buy Olivers' sushi again.
