Safe enough, security guard present. They have hand sanitizer and Wipes if you need it. I'm pregnant and REALLY had to go. Not the worst bathroom I've ever been in but definitely needs to be cleaned more often. But not enough wages for workers so I understand that part.

Nice place to use the restroom if you need to go as more cities need something like this & its safe there is a security guard that watches it. The type of toilets they have for a number 2 is a reminder do not end up in the San Diego County Jail because you will be using the exact same toilets. Remember use common sense when using it sometimes they need cleaned sometimes the guard may get hungry. Its free so dont get upset if you half to wait.

I think is great that the public restroom is fro free, but the personal inthe both was not very friendly not helpful because he saw me standing there wondering how to get in or where to pay and he just wouldn't say anything.
I recommend not to go by yourself if you are a lady because there are many homeless around and in this place.
Not very clean, but it is great for the emergency.

Pros: No charge, open 24/7, have toilet paper and soap, officers are friendly, toilets get cleaned every 6 hours, spacious, you get the whole bathroom to yourself, close to bus stop and trolley station.
Cons: Toilets get cleaned every 6 hours (so, I would not recommend going after hour 4 specially if something breaks), only 2 bathrooms, it's mostly for homeless peeps (so might get crowded at the end of the day).

Not clean; urine all over the floor. Primarily for the homeless. The personnel in the booth are not friendly and sit behind a glass. You have to wait in line.

I was expecting a usual messy public restroom but since it's locked and watched, it was shockingly clean,. Very clean. Walk up to door, and somehow it unlocks!

Dirty, you need to wait in queue for about 10 minutes. Really strange people go there. I hope I have not got any disease there.
