We ordered stickers for our trailer, banners, hats and sweatshirts for our Christmas tree lot. Everything we so well made, the service was quick, and the quality of the merchandise was fantastic! We were told multiple different days that our shirts would be ready and then not updated as the days came and went. We had to reach out for a status update. The previous two interactions with them had been similar but with only one or two promised dates not being met. I felt good about supporting a new local business though so I stuck with them. That as well as good quality as the end result and I thought maybe they were just ironing out the kinks in their process so I was patient.
We were told that we could provide our own shirts or shop from their catalog. I had been frustrated with the lack of catalog pricing and the back and forth with checking prices of different items the first time I ordered. This as well as the desire to try on sizing ahead of time sent me to Amazon to get samples of some of the options in different sizes just for the ease of returns. We picked shirts that sierra custom ink has in their catalog thinking that was the safest bet. Upon completion we were so disappointed with the quality of embroidery. Our logo is mostly geometric and some of the lines on multiple shirts were not even solid. The embroidery stopped and started and some of the letters were wonky. One of the shirts even had small holes next to the stitching. Our order was short one shirt that they messed up worse than all this and they told us that they had ordered a replacement and would let us know when it was done. Here we are over a month after picking up the shirts and we still haven’t received notice that the shirt is ready.
I emailed the owner the day of pick up to tell her how disappointed we were with the end result and she blamed me for picking the wrong shirts and not ordering them from her. I was told I could provide my own from the get go and also not told that the quality would be sub-par on the shirts I picked or that it wasn’t a good material for embroidery. This would have been good info to know before they were embroidered and it was too late to return them and get my money back. The best she could do is embroider a new batch of shirts. So I’m supposed to eat the cost of this first batch as well as the embroidery and buy all new shirts.
As a small business owner, I can’t imaging treating a customer this way.
Update: I was sent a fake refund with a request t take down my review. One month after the bogus refund notice was sent and I haven’t received anything from her. Oh, and she didn’t return all the shirts I purchased. So disappointing.

Couldn't recommend more! We used them to embroider 50 backpacks with our company logo and not only was their turnaround time quick, but the quality was also fantastic across all the bags. Jess is amazing and her whole team is so easy to work with, will definitely be ordering from them again!

Sierra Custom Ink has great customer service! The staff is friendly and approachable. We had great turn around times on orders and really good input on style and design. Their prices are great and theyre local to Grass Valley. Ive tried talking yo robots online, getting my card hacked with long turnarounds but no more. The team at SCI has got my business.
