Tucked on a corner, quiet and bright,
Tremont Library hums with light.
A haven of books, a world so wide,

The librarians, gentle, patient, and kind,
Guiding each seeker with knowledge refined.
A whispered suggestion, a knowing glance,
Helping lost readers find their chance.

Near the door, the playground stands,
With swings so short, yet filled with demands.
Children leap, some swing too high,
While laughter and tumbles color the sky.

Inside, where weekend mornings glow,
The children’s nook puts on a show.
Parents scatter—some lost in screens,
While little feet chase make-believe dreams.

Some watch closely, step by step,
Ready to catch, correct, protect.
Others drift, barely aware,
As chaos brews in plastic chairs.

A spectrum of care, a study in roles,
Parenting styles like unwritten scrolls.
Yet amid it all, the books still wait,
With patient stories to captivate.

And in the back, the book sale calls,
Stacked high on tables, lined on walls.
Pages of past and futures to hold,
For just a dollar—a bargain in gold.

Tremont Library, steady and true,
A place for stories, old and new.
A place to read, to watch, to see,
A quiet lens on humanity.

We had the most wonderful experience at the library recently! My son and I visited for a morning of learning and play, and it was truly heartwarming. While I was I teach a new student how to read in English, and the library's quiet, welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect setting for our lesson. The staff was incredibly supportive and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful session.

Meanwhile, my 9-month-old had a blast playing with other kids, and it was such a joy to watch him interact with other little ones. The library’s children’s area was lively, yet peaceful—perfect for toddlers and babies. My son also enjoyed interacting with the grandparents who were there, and it felt like a true community space where people of all ages could come together.

The staff went above and beyond, making us feel right at home. They even checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Overall, it was an enriching experience for both learning and socializing, and we left feeling uplifted and connected to the community. I’m so grateful for such a welcoming and inclusive environment!

Mary was amazing! We used the library for the passport service. We had tried walk-in appointments at the post office. Tried scheduling appointments at the post office. Just to be canceled 2 hours before appointment after taking off from work. We scrambled, researched, and found UA Library. We called spoke to Mary. Scheduled an Appointment for the same day. Once we arrived. She was the sweetest and kindest soul. She walked my wife and I through the process. She was careful, caring and thorough. She relieved so much stress and anxiety from this process. SHE WAS AMAZING! Facility was beautiful as well. MARY WE CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOU COMPASSION, EXPERIENCE, AND EXPERTISE!

2024 update: Date With A Book
Just the most amazing program ever!!! The books are lovingly wrapped with an enticing description. They carefully cut out the bar code and then you get to take it home and open it. Ours has a card to give back with it saying how the blind date with a book was... In only ten words! What FUN!!!!

I appreciate the wide variety of children's programs that the Upper Arlington libraries offer: story times, arts and crafts, science and tech experiments, musical performances, and holiday celebrations. The library is one of my family's favorite places in the community. Thanks for planning all these events!

Public libraries are phenomenal resources and this location is no different. Many different items/media can be checked out, including musical instruments, movies, vinyl records, learning kits for kids, and more. The children's area has a good selection of books, as well as a play area that has some permanent fixtures, like a Lego table and play house/kitchen, as well as changing activities. There are lots of events here for all ages, and even sensory friendly times. Book sales, community support resources, opportunities to learn something new....I cannot say enough good things about libraries!
